Wally Kurth (Ned, GH; Justin, DAYS)
“I’m a fan of all the shows. Every once in awhile, I’ll tune into BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL and I’ll see lovely Rena [Sofer, Quinn, Kurth’s ex-wife] doing some good work and I’ll text her, ‘Good job today!’ It’s a half-hour show, so that one’s easy to watch. I do tape the shows, as well. I’m a fan. I also tell that to these younger actors, to watch the shows. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with the medium and the material.”
Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter, B&B)
“I’m not a huge TV watcher, but I do enjoy seeing my old New York soap pal Tobias Truvillion [Derek; ex-Vincent, ONE LIFE TO LIVE] on EMPIRE. He’s done a great job with that role. Very proud of him.”
Courtney Hope (Sally, B&B)
“I actually watched some of the soaps before I started on B&B. A lot of my friends were on DAYS, so I watched them on that, and I also watched [boyfriend] Chad [Duell, Michael] on GH and got to know a lot of the actors through him, so that
was cool.”
Lisa LoCicero (Olivia, GH)
“I don’t get to watch them regularly, but I did catch DAYS
OF OUR LIVES recently when I was at the nail salon and saw some scenes Wally [Kurth] was doing. It was very strange to see him playing another character! But I really enjoyed it.”
Peter Bergman (Jack, Y&R)
“I actually check out all of them. Whenever I’m waiting in my dressing room, I tune in to see what’s happening on the other soaps. We’ve got a lot of great actors in daytime, and I like
watching solid performances.”
John McCook (Eric, B&B)
“I watch B&B regularly, but if I’m home and flipping around, I will see what the other shows are up to. I do check on Y&R [where he played Lance from 1976-80] and I am always impressed with what I see.”
