Did you ever envision yourself landing on a soap?
“I wouldn’t say I envisioned it, but I always hoped for it and I’m thrilled that I did!”
Did anything surprise you about the reality of shooting GH?
“The ‘only one take’ thing took me by surprise, but I like it. Amy is a source of energy and comedy on the canvas, and the pace of how we shoot helps me with that.”
Who was the first person you met in the cast?
“Genie Francis [Laura]. I had to play it cool and try not to freak out!”
Who was the first person you hit it off with?
“Matt Cohen [Griffin]. He has a special place in my heart because on one of my first days of shooting, he came over and introduced himself and offered me advice. He was so kind and calming.”
Amy is well-established as boy crazy. Who does she think is the hottest guy in Port Charles?
“Oh, Franco, always. He’s dark and mysterious. I love working with Roger [Howarth]. He’s so funny and smart and talented.”
Who would you love to get to work with that you haven’t so far?
“Maura [West], Nancy [Lee Grahn] or Laura [Wright, Carly]. I love me some powerhouse women!” Do your parents watch you on the show? “Yes! My mom is a newfound megafan. We both watch the show now and have hour-long conversations about it. I don’t give her any spoilers.”
Do you have a favorite couple on the show?
“I’m a big ‘Killon’ fan. Hayley [Erin] and Robert [Palmer Watkins, Dillon] are just as charming and adorable in real life as they are on the show, so I am definitely rooting for them.”
