General Hospital’s Most Heartwarming ‘Back From The Dead’ Reunions, Luke & Laura To Robin & Patrick

Early in 1982, just a few months after Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Webber-Baldwin (Genie Francis) became husband and wife, she disappeared from the Port Charles pier and was subsequently presumed dead. A heartbroken Luke eventually patched his life back together and in 1983, he ran for office and won! On the day he was set to be inaugurated as mayor, Luke was dropped off at his new digs, the mayor's mansion — the site of his storybook wedding to Laura. Little did he know that his beloved wife was ambling across the grounds, lost in thought as memories of the wedding washed over her. Luke went upstairs and was standing out on the balcony, thinking back to dancing with his bride on their big day, when he caught a glimpse of his beloved. He made his way downstairs, still not sure if he was dreaming. "Laura!" he screamed. She ran across the lawn and into his arms, and Luke swept her into a warm embrace.

In 1988, Felicia Cummings Jones (Kristina Wagner) was grieving the presumed death of her husband, cop turned WSB Agent Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner), after being told he'd been killed on a dangerous mission. The following year, she tied the knot with Lucy Coe's cousin, Colton Shore — nuptials that were witnessed by Frisco, who was very much alive and back in Port Charles! It was, in fact, news to him that Felicia thought he was dead. One night, Felicia was walking home after dinner with Colton when she came face to face with Frisco, who had been hiding out in the catacombs. She was stunned speechless. "Baby, it's me," Frisco said. Felicia promptly fainted! Frisco brought her down to the catacombs and when she came to, she was terrified. Frisco tenderly kissed her hand and asked, "Does that feel like a ghost?" He explained how the false reports of his death came to be, and she was hurt when she realized that she was not the first to know he was alive. She didn't stay mad all that long, though — in the end, though, Felicia chose Frisco over Colton, and the duo remarried in 1990.

When Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) was presumed dead in a lab explosion in 2012, her death devastated people all over Port Charles. Of course, none felt the loss more acutely than her widower, Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and their young daughter, Emma Scorpio-Drake (then-Brooklyn Rae Silzer). Patrick did find love again, with sweet nurse Sabrina Santiago, and they planned to wed. Opposite this, Robin had been through quite the ordeal of her own. Her death had been faked by Cesar Faison, and she'd been passed between multiple villains (Faison, Helena Cassadine, Jerry Jacks) before she was finally rescued by her loving parents, Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio. Robin went to the church where Patrick and Sabrina were exchanging vows, but couldn't bring herself to reveal her presence. As she turned to leave, though, Emma spotted her at the back of the church. "Mommy?" she gasped. Patrick turned his head and couldn't believe his eyes as Emma ran to Robin, who scooped her up and embraced her, assuring her that her mommy was home. His eyes brimming with tears, Patrick moved toward his wife. "Is this a dream? Is this real?" murmured Patrick, caressing Robin's face before kissing her. If you guessed that Sabrina was left out in the cold, you'd be right!

In 2014, Ric Lansing's (Rick Hearst) death was staged after Julian Jerome framed him and made it look like he was the head of the Jerome crime family, and he decided to testify against them. Ric's teenage daughter, Molly (then-Haley Pullos) was understandably crushed by her dad's apparent demise. Things got dicey for Ric when Julian's go-to henchman, Carlos Rivera, uncovered his location and prepared to execute him, but Shawn Butler and Jordan Ashford arrived in time to thwart those plans. Ric made it safely back to Port Charles at Christmastime and when Molly opened the door to see her dad there in the flesh, she gasped, "Daddy?" "I'm home," he told her, hugging her tightly.

Elizabeth Webber experienced a mother's worst nightmare in 2011, when her middle child, son Jake (then-James Nigbor), appeared to have died in a hit-and-run accident caused by a drunk-driving Luke Spencer. Then, in 2015, a miracle happened: her ex-husband, Lucky Spencer, showed up on her doorstep with Jake in tow! It turned out that the little boy's death had been faked by a vengeful Helena Cassadine, who kept him stashed away on Cassadine Island. Elizabeth couldn't allow herself to believe that it was true when Lucky told her Jake was alive, but he insisted, "Jake is here." He went to fetch the boy, who was waiting outside with Luke. "This is your son, Elizabeth," Luke assured her. "I've missed you so much," whispered Liz, then asked if she could hug him. He nodded yes, and Liz wrapped Jake into her loving arms.

In 2018, Michael Corinthos (then Chad Duell, far r.) was heartbroken when his ex, Nelle Benson, told him that their newborn son, Jonah, had passed away. Unbeknownst to him, Nelle had actually given Jonah to Brad Cooper, who (along with husband Lucas Jones, Michael's uncle) had been poised to adopt Willow Tait and Shiloh Archer's biological son, Wiley. Sadly, that baby died when he was home alone with Brad, and with Nelle's urging, Brad presented Jonah to an unsuspecting Lucas as Wiley. Michael had no clue that the little boy who became his godson was actually his own biological son. The truth finally tumbled out in 2020, stunning Michael. He went off on Brad and all the pain he'd caused, and after foiling Nelle's plans to flee with Wiley, Michael expressed how terrible he felt for Lucas as he tried to process the sudden shift in his relationship with his son/godson. Lucas handed Wiley over to Michael, saying, "Take good care of your son." Michael took the boy home to the Quartermaine house, introducing him to his great-grandmother, Monica (Leslie Charleson), and snapping the first of many family photos, with Jason (Steve Burton) getting in on the action.

In 2020, Trina Robinson (then-Sydney Mikayla) was devastated when her beloved father, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), died after being shot while rescuing her from Cyrus Renault's thugs, who had kidnapped her. The grief-stricken heroine mourned, unaware that Taggert's death had actually been staged by Jordan Ashford, with an assist from G.H.'s head nurse, Epiphany Johnson. Taggert longed to be with Trina and on Halloween, took advantage of a Darth Vader costume to sneakily be in close proximity to her. In time, Trina did begin to suspect that her dad was alive (especially after Cyrus told her he was, though many in her orbit believed Renault was just trying to mess with her head). Finally, just before Christmas, Trina and Taggert came face to face in the PCPD and Trina ran into her dad's loving arms.
