Five Things That Happened On February 6 In Soap History

In 1976, Bill Horton (Edward Mallory) and Laura Horton (Susan Flannery) welcomed daughter Jennifer Rose Horton on Days of Our Lives. The child made a dramatic entrance, as the duo was on their way back from a visit to a sanitarium when they got stranded in a snowstorm. They found shelter at a farmhouse, where Laura went into labor and gave birth to her precious baby girl.

In 1989, Another World's Jamie Frame tied the knot with Vicky Love (Anne Heche), who was quite pregnant at the time. For the bride, marrying Jamie was the fulfillment of her most deeply held wish, but her perfect day was marred moments before she walked down the aisle when her identical twin, Marley McKinnon, excitedly told her what she thought was wonderful news: despite what she and her husband, Jake McKinnon, had been led to believe as they sought to begin a family of their own, Jake was able to father a child! The reason this wasn't music to Vicky's ears? She had secretly slept with Jake around the same time she conceived, and now Vicky wasn't sure whether Jake or Jamie was the father of her unborn child! A postpartum-suffering Carly had been struggling to bond with Michael, and Bobbie had been her unlikely ally, encouraging her through her hardship. Bobbie placed Michael in Carly's arms, and she held her son for the first time, moving an emotional Carly to tell her the truth about their relationship at last.

In 2001, the Greta Von Amberg (Julianne Morris) coronation began on Days of Our Lives. In 2008, Elizabeth Hendrickson made her Young and Restless debut as Chloe Mitchell, Esther Valentine's daughter by Tiny. The actress had previously appeared on All My Chidren as Frankie Stone and Maggie Stone, identical twins. Hendrickson told Soap Opera Digest in 2023 of her early days as Chloe, "They didn’t really have any plan with her! I remember that I wanted to play something different than the character I played previously [on AMC], so I decided to make her a little on the spicy side. Then, as the character kind of grew and I was also finding my own footing, they gave me these ties to Esther and to Katherine, and it was such a great surprise. I was so excited not only to have Kate Linder [Esther] playing my mom, but to have Jeanne Cooper [Katherine] playing my godmother. I also worked a lot with Jess [Walton, Jill] at the time, so it was a really fun time, getting to work with those three incredible women on a regular basis."
