What EJ didn't count on was Gabi's former boyfriend JJ (Casey Moss) arriving as things got heated and coming to her defense. A former police detective, JJ can't help but ride to the rescue of anyone he suspects is in distress.

EJ was probably being usual charming self, egging on JJ too and he ends up taking a punch for his trouble. Will EJ ever learn? Probably not since he gets so much joy from upsetting the fine folks of Salem.

Gabi takes care of JJ's injured hand (who cares about EJ's face, right?) and the two get a chance to catch up on what's been going on in each other's lives since they last saw each other.
