Y&R Casting Exclusive: Aristotle Dumas’s Assistant Hits The Genoa City Scene

Comments

As the mystery surrounding the much-discussed, never-seen billionaire Aristotle Dumas continues to build on Young and Restless, Vincent Stalba will make his Genoa City debut as Dumas’s dutiful assistant, Carter, on the Wednesday, May 14 show. A Y&R rep confirms to Soap Opera Digest that Stalba, who is on recurring status with the show, is slated to appear as Carter in multiple episodes.

The Road To Y&R

Stalba, who holds an associate degree in theater from Indian River State College and a BA in theater performance from the University of South Florida, has appeared in Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ opposite Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick) and on Netflix’s The Vince Staples Show. Other credits include roles on the TNT dramedy Claws, the CBS drama The Inspectors, and the FX television movie Hoke. In addition to his work as an actor, Stalba served as the executive producer of the 2024 comedy short I Could Dom, which screened at Aspen Shortsfest, Palm Springs Int. Shortsfest, and the Atlanta Film Festival. He also has a host of theater credits, winning a Theatre Tampa Bay Award for Outstanding Featured Actor for his work as Arnold Epstein in Biloxi Blues.

For a character fans have yet to meet in person, Aristotle Dumas has certainly been occupying a fair amount of screen time since he was first name-dropped back in February when, in a conversation with Lily, Victor disclosed that Damian Kane manages the companies Dumas owns. More recently, Victor noted that he and Dumas have clashed on business matters over the years but have never met in person. Dumas also made contact with Billy Abbott to propose an alliance against Victor, which of course was an appealing prospect to The Mustache’s former son-in-law. He’s been discussed by a wide range of characters, including Michael, Nikki, Nate and Devon. Now Phyllis is also getting in on the act after discovering text messages between Billy and Dumas.

Does the in-the-flesh introduction of Dumas’s assistant mean that the man himself is not far behind? Stay tuned….
