Young and Restless Alum Conner Floyd Ties the Knot Ahead of Days of Our Lives Debut
2026 is shaping up to be a very big year for The Young and the Restless alum Conner Floyd (ex-Chance). The actor will be making his Days of Our Lives debut as Chad DiMera on April 21, but that’s far from the only thing he has to celebrate, as on March 21, he said, “I do” to his longtime love, Carly Frei.
The Honeymooners
According to People, Floyd and Frei tied the knot at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, California, with 220 guests in attendance. The couple’s wedding weekend sported an old Hollywood theme and began with a welcome party hosted by the groom’s parents at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Floyd’s former Y&R co-star Michael Graziadei (Daniel) posted a photo of himself with Floyd at the event, which he captioned, “Heres a nice shot of me and @connergfloyd trying to out-cool each other.”
The Sunset Tower is less than a mile away from the since-shuttered The Den, where Floyd and Frei met for the first time on Valentine’s Day, 2020. They began dating in 2021 and in 2022, Floyd described Frei to Soap Opera Digest as “a super-smart, super-sweet girl” and “a needle in a haystack” and mused, “We crossed paths at the right time and just clicked.” The duo got engaged on December 21, 2024.
For the wedding, Frei paired a glamorous skirt, veil and neck scarf from Danielle Frankel with a corset top by Wiederhoeft, and Floyd wore a tux by Todd Snyder. The bride’s sister, Chelsea Frei, was her maid of honor. Nods to the couple’s respective hometowns — Floyd hails from Austin, TX, and Frei is a native of Boston, MA — were incorporated into the food at their cocktail hour, and the newlyweds shared their first dance to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
On TikTok on March 12, the bride-to-be posted a video discussing what she had learned and what she didn’t care about as her wedding date drew close. On the “don’t care” list? How her bridesmaids styled their hair and the jewelry and shoes they wore. “I just want everyone to look good and feel good and I trust them all,” she shared. As for what she had learned, she confided, “It’s okay to have dress regret and it’s very normal and you need to realize that you’ve been looking at the same dress for a year and it’s a lot. It’s a lot of pressure, and that’s okay.”
In the video, Frei added that she didn’t care that much about her own hairstyle for the big day, or the cake (“I don’t even know if we have a cake — I have to check on that!”) and that she had learned that she felt differently about wedding-planning than she thought she would. “I am such a planner and I love to have parties and I love to host people, but when it comes to the wedding, I feel completely different,” she said. “And I think that’s because it’s simply too much pressure to put on one day, and it’s scary.” Frei added, “While this is one of the most important and exciting days of your lives, there’s gonna be so, so, so many other important and exciting days and you just need to remember that and not put so much pressure on yourself.”
The Floyds are now enjoying a honeymoon trip to Bora Bora.
