Who Is Poppy on Bold and Beautiful?

Poppy is still pretty new to Bold and Beautiful, so she’s still hiding some secrets. The character had been mentioned and heard on the phone before making her first appearance in the Nov. 10, 2023, episode. The role is being played by actress Romy Park, who is making her daytime debut on B&B, though viewers might recognize her from her appearances in primetime series like Ghost Whisperer, Eleventh Hour, and The Rookie: Feds.

Poppy is a free spirit who prefers that name over the one she was given at birth, Penelope. Her daughter, Luna, began working as an intern at Forrester Creations, and she warned her to be careful. Poppy’s sister, Li Finnegan, was furious to see Luna working for the Forresters and tried to force her to quit her job. Luna argued that her mom missed her, but Li wanted nothing to do with her sister because years ago, she had gotten Poppy a job at the hospital where she was working only for her sibling to have an affair with one of the doctors and brought shame to her and the rest of the family.

Finally arriving at Forrester, Poppy explained to Luna that Li had been sending texts asking her to get her to quit, sure she’d ruin things for her son, Finn Finnegan. Luna assured her mother that everything would be fine, and Poppy promised she’d see her again soon. But as she went to leave the office, she ran into Li and the sisters immediately clashed! It was then that Li revealed the real reason why she was so resentful of her sister — Poppy was able to carry a child while she couldn’t. Poppy reminded Li that she still had Finn, but Li wouldn’t listen and pushed her away.

While out to dinner with Luna, Poppy was approached by Bill Spencer, who insisted that they had met years ago. Luna was intrigued, but her mother insisted he was mistaken. However, she later agreed to meet Bill and he revealed that he finally recalled meeting her at a music festival in San Francisco over 20 years ago and accused her of only pretending not to remember him!

Poppy and Bill remembered getting together years ago at a music festival and making magic. They then had dinner but their attempt to find some privacy at the beach house was interrupted by its resident, RJ Forrester, who came home with Luna! Poppy tried to sneak out with Bill but they got caught. When Li found out her sister was dating Bill, she ordered her to stop seeing him. After RJ made the suggestion, Luna asked Poppy if Bill could be her father, but she flatly denied it. When the young woman still wanted to know who her father was, Poppy desperately begged her not to pursue it. And when Bill asked the same question, she assured him he wasn’t Luna’s dad and he realized she wasn’t a gold-digger. She then reconnected with Finn, who reminisced about the time Poppy had come to live with his family.

Poppy was horrified when an upset Luna told her that she’d slept with Zende Forrester after hallucinating that he was RJ. She quickly realized that Luna had taken some of her “special” mints and mixed them with alcohol. She also begged Luna to keep quiet about it and not ruin her relationship with RJ. Luna continued to press her mother about the identity of her father, and Poppy asked Finn to step in as a father figure, but he urged her to just tell her daughter the truth. Eventually, Luna came clean with RJ, who was naturally freaked out about the whole situation with the mints, and Poppy felt terrible.

Poppy also supported Luna when she took a pregnancy test and was happy to tell her daughter that it was negative. As she grew closer to Bill, Poppy admitted that there actually was a possibility he could be Luna’s dad. She then shared the same thought with Luna, and the three of them decided to do a home DNA test to see. Li interrupted, not trusting that her sister wasn’t trying to scam her way into Bill’s life and was stunned when the test came back positive! Thrilled, Bill invited Poppy and Luna to move in with him so they could make up for lost time.

Tensions between Poppy and bill’s ex, Katie Logan, continued to rise and she was shaken when new Il Giardino employee Tom Starr recognized her. When she later insisted that he leave her alone, Tom insisted he only wanted to get to know Luna since she was really his daughter! After Tom died on stage of an overdose during a performance, Poppy struggled to maintain her cool and Katie became suspicious of her erratic behavior. She was also rattled when Will Spencer came home from school and wasn’t pleased to find her and Luna living with Bill. Poppy dismissed Katie’s accusation that she’d killed Tom but after Luna discovered letters that Tom had sent her mother asking to see his daughter, she wondered if it was true! Poppy was arrested for Tom and Hollis’ murders, but it was soon revealed that Luna had set her up! Poppy was horrified that Luna had faked the paternity test and killed Tom so that Bill would believe he was her father. Visiting her daughter in prison, Poppy declared that she was dead to her.

As 2025 began, Li confronted Poppy and Jack after a DNA test proved Tom wasn’t Luna’s father either. She accused Poppy of having an affair with her husband and he was the baby daddy. They both protested they never even slept together, but Li insisted and drew blood for another test. But when that also came back negative, Li apologized to her sister for always being so awful.
