Who Is Cat on Days of Our Lives?
It’s perfectly understandable if fans aren’t entirely clear on who Cat is on Days of Our Lives, given that when she was first introduced, she was pretending to be someone else! The “mystery woman” first appeared in June 2024, played by actress AnnaLynne McCord, who viewers might recognize from her starring roles on shows like Nip/Tuck and 90210.
Chad DiMera was led to believe that his wife, Abigail DiMera, was still alive by her presumed killer, Clyde Weston. After following the clues Clyde left, Chad was stunned to encounter a blonde woman who had been abducted and held prisoner by the villain. A DNA test was done which proved she was Jack Deveraux’s daughter, Chad was overjoyed to have Abigail back. However, others, including Steve Johnson, were suspicious of her.
“Abigail” went to great lengths to convince Chad she was the real deal, but in fact, her real name was Cat Greene and she and her brother, Mark Greene, were forced into a scheme to steal Chad’s fortune by Clyde, who was threatening to kill their mother. Chad took “Abigail” to Paris where she suggested they remarry, and JJ Deveraux showed up for the ceremony to support this woman who might be his sister. But a slip of the tongue exposed Cat’s lies and Chad demanded to know who she really was. Mark then burst in with a gun to kill Chad on Clyde’s orders, but he was stopped by Steve, who had done another DNA test to prove his suspicions.

Cat explained that her full name was Catharina, and she was named after her mother, who Steve realized was the woman John Black had been told he’d killed years ago. Cat and her brother were arrested and feared that their failure would doom their mother. She was also upset because she had developed feelings for Chad while pretending to be his dead wife. Awkward!
