QUEEN SUGAR Exec Hosts Chat

Comments

Fans of the OWN drama, QUEEN SUGAR, are invited to join in a special social media conversation on the topics and issues featured on the sudsy series, hosted by its creator/executive producer Ava DuVernay, tonight, August 21. Over its four seasons, QUEEN SUGAR’s Bordelon family has dealt with traumas like addiction, police brutality, sexual assault, and domestic violence. For several hours leading up to Wednesday’s episode, a “Tweet-a-Thon” with the hashtag #QueenSugarTALKS will drive the public conversation, with DuVernay sharing and answering questions from her personal Twitter account to her 2.2 million followers. The conversation is presented in conjunction with the exec’s non-profit arm of her film collective, ARRAY. In the episode, Micah takes Blue to the park triggering trauma from his past; Darla learns a painful truth about the night Blue was conceived; and Violet stands by her side for comfort. QUEEN SUGAR airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on OWN.
