The Young and the Restless Star Lucas Adams and Wife Shelby Welcome Their First Baby (Exclusive)
Congratulations are in order for Young and Restless star Lucas Adams and his wife, Shelby Wulfert. The duo officially became parents on February 4, when Wulfert gave birth to their first child.
The Family Way
Adams and Wulfert announced in November 2025 that they were expecting baby No. 1. “We could not be more excited about this news,” they enthused in a joint Instagram post that featured a carousel of photos from their maternity photo shoot on the beach. Speaking to People about the pregnancy, the couple revealed that the baby was due in February 2026 but decided not to share the sex of the baby until he or she was born.
Now that the baby is here, Digest has the great honor of sharing that it’s a boy! Adams and Wulfert named their new son Alonzo Brentley Adams. At birth, he weighed 7 lbs, 13 oz and measured 20 inches long. “Mama and baby are doing great!” reports a rep for Y&R, where Adams has played the role of Noah Newman since November 2025. The actor is also well-known to daytime fans for his work as Tripp Johnson (formerly Dalton) on Days of Our Lives (2017-19; 2020-24).
Little Alonzo’s proud parents met on the set of the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie in 2015. Adams portrayed Josh Wilcox on the show, while Wulfert was a body double for series star Dove Cameron, who played the titular twins. In 2017, Adams bubbled to Digest about his future wife, saying, “She’s my best friend, so the fact that I’m able to have a relationship with her, and we’ll hang out and we’ll want to tell each other everything is just mind-blowing to me. It’s great.” He proposed in 2021, and the happy couple tied the knot on October 15, 2022. On their most recent wedding anniversary, Adams posted a tribute to Wulfert on Instagram, writing, “10 years together and 3 years married to this beautiful soul that I am so lucky to call my wife! Grateful for your love, your strength, and I’m so filled with joy that we get to move through this life together. Happy Anniversary Baby Cakes, love you to infinity and beyond! 😘😘😘”
