The Young and the Restless Comings & Goings: Jade Harlow Cast as Marie Kirkland
Actress Jade Harlow is joining the cast of Young and Restless in the recurring role of Marie Kirkland and is scheduled to make her first appearance in the episode airing on Monday, August 10.
Who Is Jade Harlow Playing on Y&R?
The soap shares that Harlow’s Y&R alter ego is a woman with a complicated past who comes to Genoa City looking for a fresh start.
Harlow made her daytime debut in 2000, when she was tapped to replace Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the role of Jessica Bennett on the NBC soap Passions. She spent three years on the soap, exiting in 2003. In 2014, she portrayed the short-term character of Sheryl Connors, a love interest for Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo), on Days of Our Lives.
From 2010-20, Harlow starred as Lianna Ramos on the streaming soap The Bay, and received multiple Daytime Emmy nominations for her work. She took home the trophy for Outstanding Supporting or Guest Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2017 and, in 2020, won Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Digital Drama Series.
Harlow also served as a producer on The Bay, and shared the show’s Daytime Emmy wins for Outstanding New Approaches — Drama Series in 2015 and Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2016.
Harlow’s resume also includes episodes of prime time series like Zoo, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., FBI: International, and Criminal Minds. The actress can be seen in movies like Sharing Christmas, Deadly Patient, and Christas on the Ranch.
Interestingly, both of Harlow’s Passions parents have notched roles on Y&R. Her on-screen mother, Dana Sparks (ex-Grace Bennett), played Lena Cavett in 2021, and James Hyde (ex-Sam Bennett) portrayed Jeremy Stark from 2022-23.
