SUNSET BEACH alum Eddie Cibrian (ex-Cole; ex-Jesse, CSI: MIAMI) has been hired to play the lead role in the NBC pilot PLAYBOY, replacing Jeff Hephner (Red, HELLCATS), according to TVLine. PLAYBOY is set in 1963 Chicago, and focuses on attorney Nick Dalton (Cibrian), who has shady ties to the mob and is a member of the ultraglamorous Playboy Club. Cibrian needs to hop to it: Filming for the potential fall series starts Tuesday in Chicago.
