Status Change For GH’s Francis
Though unconfirmed by GH or the actress, Daytime Confidential reports that Genie Francis has been taken off contract as Laura. Francis made her GH debut in 1977, exited in 1982 and reprised the role in 1983 and 1984 before returning full-time in 1993. She left again in 2002 and visited in 2006, 2008 and 2013, then went back on contract in 2015. “For me, it was just this really comfortable, relaxing feeling of being welcomed back home,” she told Digest.
