Soaps’ Most Beautiful Women – Deidre Hall
Who was your beauty icon growing up?
“I always idolized Katharine Hepburn, and it was not so much that she was a raving beauty, but she was interesting and complex. She was also funny and powerful.”
What cosmetic would you love to win a lifetime supply of?
“I love my perfume. I wear Bobbi Brown Beach Fragrance. It’s subtle and fresh.”
What are your thoughts about plastic surgery?
“I’m a believer.”
Do you have a beauty tip that you would like to share?
“The one thing that I tell every woman is to wear driving gloves. We in California spend a good portion of the day with our hands baking through a windshield. The first thing to show age on a woman is her hands. You can stop the hand damage by wearing gloves.”
Have you ever done something extreme to change your look?
“No, I haven’t, but when I first began modeling, I had good hair, and I was always called for hair ads. Usually, I would get a trim, or an up-style. But at one point, they had someone who came in who said that he wanted to trim my hair a little. He took a clean cut of my hair, just above the neck. It was so short that they had to shave the back of my neck. I don’t know how they ever got the picture, because I didn’t stop crying or raging about it. That’s when I stopped working for hair modeling.”
Have you ever felt insecure about your looks?
“Oh, probably always. I grew up a scrawny kid with a big nose and big ears who always had a sunburn. There were a lot of awkward years.”
