Soap Opera New Year’s Eve Schedule 2024: Which Shows Are New?
New Year’s Eve is this week so most soap fans know what that means! Expect your regularly scheduled soap opera programming to be interrupted, usually by the networks airing sports. Here is a handy guide to which soaps are airing original episodes, which soaps are airing repeats and which soaps will be completely preempted in favor of alternative programming.
Bold and Beautiful
New episodes air all week except Wednesday, the first day of 2024, when there will be an encore episode of November 22, 2023, which featured Ridge creating a special evening just for Brooke, filled with memories of their love. Tuesday’s new episode will only air on the east coast and Paramount+, with the west coast getting pre-empted for the Sun Bowl. This week, get ready for the drama with Remy and Electra to reach new heights as Will rushes to save her, Katie confronts her own past mistakes, Luna begs for Bill’s help as he lays down some ground rules and Brooke’s secrets from Ridge will be revealed.
Days of Our Lives
This week will be no different for lucky DAYS fans because the soap is on a streaming platform, it will air brand-new episodes all week. It should be an exciting time in Salem as Rafe will come face-to-face with Arnold, Sophia’s mother hits the scene, Chanel and Johnny throw a New Year’s Eve party, JJ and Gabi take the next step, Joy and Alex share an awkward morning and so much more. General Hospital
New episodes air on Monday, Thursday and Friday while encore episodes will air the other two days. Monday starts off with Elizabeth making a big discovery while Trina shows something special to Kai. On Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, the show will air an encore episode from August 26, 2024,when Tracy was shaken, Laura embarked on a mission, Anna enlisted Robert’s help and so much more. On Wednesday, the first day of the new year, another encore episode will air from September 23, 2024, in which Carly and Brennan have a loaded encounter, Portia was on edge, Elizabeth voiced her doubts and so much more. Thursday, new episodes are back as Michael gets a shock, Anna makes a threat and more. On Friday, Charlotte makes a decision, Sonny contemplates his future and so much more. Young and Restless
New episodes air on Monday, Thursday and Friday. On Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, an encore presentation of the November 8 episode will air in which Victor surprise Nikki with the restored Newman Ranch. On Wednesday, the first day of 2025, the show digs a little further into their past with an episode from April 6, 2006. In it, Sharon confronted Phyllis about her affair with Nick, Jack handled a crisis at Jabot and Victoria kept a secret from Brad. The rest of the week in Genoa City will be new as Nick makes a shocking discovery, Jordan targets a new victim, Victor threatens Ian and so much more.
