Have you gotten more comfortable now that you’ve been on the show for a couple of months?
“Definitely. I feel like I’m building more friend-ships on set. I’m feeling more acclimated. The first time we spoke, it was just Sally, Saul, Shirley and me, but now there are new people in the mix, like Pierson [Fodé] and Courtney [Grosbeck]. She is so sweet. I love her! There have also been some great story twists. I’ve been having an excellent time.”
Are you enjoying playing the comedy?
“I’m having a blast. I feel very comedy-inclined, and getting the opportunity to play Darlita has been fun. It seems like the fans are pretty receptive toward her. She’s comedic relief, so I’ve had some fun one-liners, but we’ve also had some serious moments, too, like when that horrible review came out about the fashion show. I like that we’re getting to see several different sides of Darlita and not just her in the moment, saying whatever’s on the tip of her tongue.”
Besides your immediate co-stars, have you gotten to know any other cast members?
“Yes. Reign [Edwards, Nicole] is just wonderful. We’ve talked a lot about music. We have a lot of common interests. We hit it off right off the bat. I also found out through Anthony that Scott [Clifton, Liam] has a Nintendo 64 and I love video games, so I got very excited. I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh. During our breaks, we’ve got to play Super Mario Kart. What other games do you have?’ I said, ‘Anthony, whenever you’ve got downtime, text me and we’re going to meet in Scott’s [dressing] room and play video games.’ ”
