How has your first soap experience been?

“I don’t even know where to begin. It’s been such a swift transition in that a week before I was working on the show, I never would have thought this would be a plot twist in my own life. For me to assimilate into the cast so easily, it has been a beautiful experience. I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of such an amazing group. I know that sounds cliché but it’s so true.”

 Who was your welcoming committee?

“Everyone. I first walked on set when rehearsals were going on and I met almost everyone in the entire cast on my first day. It was never a handshake. It was always a hug, and I loved that. Anthony, Pierson [Fodé, Thomas] and Thorsten [Kaye, Ridge] took very good care of me that day.”

Did you feel any pressure on your first day?

“I didn’t know what to expect, and it was like nothing I ever could have expected. It wasn’t stressful or hectic. I was never at the wrong place at the wrong time but it was a lot of, ‘Courtney, you should check in with hair and makeup.’ ‘Okay, um, where is hair and makeup?’ and then they would take me there. We tape next door to THE PRICE IS RIGHT, so the biggest challenge was not getting hit by any of the prizes as they move them on and off the stage!”

How was your first soap opera kiss?

“It was actually my first on-screen kiss and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. It was so low-key and so honest and sweet and innocent. It was perfect.”
