In the parking garage, Jen told Daniel that she saw him put something in her car and that it must be him who has been framing her. She jumped in the car to leave and found the rag he planted with Paul’s blood. “I can’t let you go, I just can’t,” Daniel told her. Jen realized aloud that not only has Daniel been framing her, but that he actually killed Paul. She tried to run, but Daniel caught her, pulled her into a pile of garbage bags, and suffocated her with a plastic bag. RIP, Jen.
Bo checked in on Nora, who admitted that she was concerned with the relentless way Daniel has been pursuing Jen as Paul’s murderer. She argued that her husband is just under a lot of pressure to solve the case. Bo told Nora that Daniel needs to solve it before he will be appointed Lieutenant Governor. “Yes, Daniel is ambitious, but if that’s his only fault, I really can’t complain,” Nora replied. Upon exiting, Bo told Nora that if she ever wants to talk, “You know where to find me.”
The Jamie custody trial got underway. RJ took the stand and stated that while Antonio was off playing with mobsters, “Night after night Jamie would cry for her papi, but her papi never came home.” Antonio blurted out, in the middle of RJ’s testimony, that he kept Jamie at arm’s length during the Santi ordeal to protect her. Evangeline submitted RJ’s arrest record as evidence and pointed out that, “Whatever Mr. Gannon has to say, his record speaks for itself.” Antonio took the stand and said he’d never deny RJ the right to see his granddaughter.
When the issue of Antonio’s affair with Sonia was raised, Jessica stepped out of the trial and into the bathroom, where she looked into a mirror and saw Tess talking back to her. The reflection begged Jessica to allow her to get revenge on Antonio for sleeping with Sonia. Jessica returned to the courtroom and testified that a health problem prevents her from remembering what happened the night of the fire. “I love that girl more than anything,” she cried. “She’s like a daughter to me. So if my health problems were not to get better, I wouldn’t allow myself to be alone with her.” She then delivered a shining characterization of Antonio as a great father and begged the judge grant him custody. After, she called the doctor about the “voice” she’d just heard inside her head.
Blair went to Todd’s office to argue about his not having sex with her. Todd said that he’ll be fine once he punishes Asa and Margaret. He then buried himself in his work hunting them down right in the middle of their conversation, and Blair walked out on him. Later, Kevin stopped by to warn Todd that he would tell Blair that Todd had sex with Margaret if he doesn’t give up his pursuit of Asa.
Meanwhile, Blair met with Kelly who said that Kevin seems to know a secret of Todd’s. She promised Blair she’d help try to get it out of him.
Michael and Natalie continued their purely platonic dance together. Nat defended her pursuit of John by pointing out how he “totally lost it” when he thought it was she, not the waitress, who was murdered at the diner. John then walked up, as if on cue, and had to fight to keep his eyes off Natalie’s chest while he apologized for being pushy when he questioned her about the murder at the diner. Rex dropped in and told Natalie his fight for Jen’s heart is the same as her fight for John’s.
Then Marcie joined the party at the police station and angered Michael when she suggested that they “let each other go.” John interrupted and pulled Marcie into his office for questioning. Julie’s parents barged in on them and told Marcie, through tears, that she is responsible for their daughter’s death and that it is all “just to make a buck” with her book.
Riley read a note Jen left for him saying that she’s sorry that they broke up, but that she doesn’t blame him for not trusting her — and that she loves him.
Rex told Natalie he has a bad feeling about Jen and wants to report her missing.

Before starting with the recap of this episode, I must make the following observation. Does no one in Llanview ever eat at home? There are plenty of bedrooms, within 10 minutes we saw Daniel and Nora’s, Evangeline’s and Natalie’s. But poor (and we know they are not) Jessica and Viki were seen eating breakfast at The Palace, just a few short hours after they were having dinner there. There I’ve said it. Now on to the show….
Before getting to her table at The Palace, Dorian dropped by Jessica and Viki’s table to exchange niceties. Jessica took Viki’s side in the conversation (always tense) which prompted Dorian to remark she had liked last night’s Jessica better. Hmmm. But Jessica later told Viki she didn’t see Dorian last night so how could they have had a conversation. How indeed. Could it be because it was TESS that Dorian had been speaking to? Dorian had summoned David to meet her at The Palace (and we know they have a kitchen!) and she actually groveled a tiny bit to get him to come back. After some choice Dorian/David banter which included a word association test that Dorian scored a 50 on, it looked as if David was about to return. Dorian stayed on her best behavior and didn’t get too angry when she saw Kevin and Kelly and Viki at the same table. However, when David insinuated that Kevin and Kelly might be “doing the deed” Dorian flipped and whoosh David was gone….
Got to say that RJ and Antonio sure clean up nice in their suits and ties. Unfortunately, their sartorial splendor was due to the fact they were in court to begin the custody battle for little Jamie. So tensions were running high for the two men and Evangeline, who tried to assure Antonio all would be well. Antonio stayed calm until Jessica revealed that she had been subpoenaed for RJ’s side. A devastated Antonio urged her to tell the truth about everything that had happened, the fire and all. And he said he was ready to take responsibility for putting Jamie’s safety in Jessica’s care, knowing that Jessica had been “not well.”… Evangeline hadn’t had much sleep as John had slept over. She was clearly still worried about the Natalie-factor and with good reason. The moment Natalie woke up (and skipped over breakfast as she wasn’t spotted in The Palace) she found her sexiest sweater and headed to John’s office. Natalie cranked up her sex kitten charms and kept insisting to John that his interest in her safety went beyond police duties. “It’s more than concern and we both know it,” Nat insisted….
Daniel (barely recovered from a nightmare of Paul Cramer proportions) and Nora hosted a muffin and coffee breakfast for the Gov and his assistant the lovely blonde Bailey. Nora couldn’t help but notice Daniel’s comfort with Bailey and we all know what Nora was thinking. “Could Daniel be having an affair with Bailey?” The reason for the Gov’s visit was to assure Daniel that once the Cramer case was solved, he’d be announcing his appointment as Lt. Gov. That darn Cramer case…..
After the Gov and Bailey left, Daniel headed to his car with the vial of Paul’s blood in his pocket. He broke into Jen’s car in the parking garage and began planting evidence. Unfortunately Jen arrived and asked him just what was he doing in her car. What indeed….
Don’t miss Friday’s episode folks.

The evening started out with some promise of passion for Todd and Blair. Adriana was babysitting the kids (more on that later) and the two were happily getting ready to order dinner at the Palace. However, half-joking, half-serious Blair suggested they order an aphrodisiac-laden dinner. He’d get oysters, she champagne. Todd saw no humor in this. So they began bickering about their nonexistent sex life. They argued about their sex life (and lack thereof). Todd decided to put his money where his mouth is (there’s probably something not quite right about this analogy in this situation, sorry) and suggested they just go home and head right to bed. That almost worked when Todd had to check something on his computer, specifically the whereabouts of Asa. That killed the mood. Without missing a beat, Blair said, “you better make that a one-way ticket to Dallas (to find Asa) because I’m not taking you back if you go there.”
Bet there was no loving in this household.
Young would-be lovers Adriana and Duke caught some quality time while she was babysitting. (“How junior high” commented neighbor Ginger.) Ginger met Duke and really liked what she saw. The two bonded over country music much to the annoyance of Adriana, whose musical passion probably lies more in the world of salsa. Ginger said her good-byes to get together with her friend Tess. Duke and Adriana started smooching big time, but Duke had to leave or “he wouldn’t leave at all.” Adriana smiled and said, “maybe you shouldn’t leave.”
Meanwhile another body was found — in a vat of oil no less — at the diner. At first it was thought the victim was Natalie, but it turned out she was just the new waitress who happened to be a redhead. Everyone who was at the diner was completely freaked out, naming names that would be Carlotta, Evangeline, Natalie, Michael, John and of course poor Marcie, who was horrified to realize that the murder was ripped from the pages of her book. Despite being on a crime scene, Natalie and Evangeline decided to get petty and fight over John. Natalie wanted to go with John when he stormed out to find the murderer. Evangeline opted to stay out of his hair. John was attacked by an unseen assailant. He called for backup and returned to the diner to the waiting arms of both Natalie and Evangeline.
It was a long night at The Palace for Jessica and Tess. The dinner began with Antonio who worried sick about the custody crisis with Jamie. Jessica tried her best to apologize but frankly Antonio wasn’t about to forgive her. “It’s my daughter’s future, it’s not about you.” He’s got a point there. Antonio left the restaurant to come to his mother’s aid at the diner. At that point, Jessica grabbed her head and out came Tess, who immediately ordered a steak big enough for all of Llanview. Viki, who had tried quite unsuccessfully to have a pleasant dinner with Dorian, popped by her daughter’s table to catch her chowing down. Exit Viki. Enter Ginger who told Tess all about her meeting with Duke and Adriana and how, after just a few minutes, now lusted after Duke. Dorian heard the name Adriana so she rushed to the table to find out what they were saying about their daughter and that ne’er do well Buchanan. Tess sings Dorian’s praises and then said they “needed to start thinking like Dorian.” If Viki ever heard that, she would have had another heart attack right then and there.

Daniel continued his quest to frame Jen for Paul’s murder. Paul again haunted Daniel (and talked and talked and talked), warning him that people are going to be shocked when they learn who Daniel’s lover is. After, Dan’s lover called; Dan urged him to use a pay phone so no one could trace the call….
An edgy Nora wondered where Daniel is, and was upset when she kept getting hang ups. When Bo eventually called, she flipped out and screamed, “Who the hell are you and what do you want?”. When the person called again, Nora *69ed the number, and saw that it’s the same person who keeps calling….
Bo and Rex teamed up and tried to figure out who the mysterious “Ted,” is whom Paul had been blackmailing. Later, Rex did some sluething and traced back some calls to Nora’s number; both were surprised to find the other on the line. Rex called Jen and asked him to meet him….
Carlotta attempted to ask Roxy (whose hair was particularly high) for help. “I’m a hairstylist, I’m not a guacamole slinger,” replied Rox….
Kelly invited Dorian over to tell her that she decided to take a position at Buchanan Enterprises. Things got awkward when David appeared. “If you happen to be able to spare a martini straight-up…” David sighed. Kelly insisted that the duo stay put and “deal with the fact that you love each other.” Kevin revealed that he’s quitting as Lt. Governor. “Again?” snarked David. Kevin then informed Dorian that the reason he’s quitting is because of the scandal involving Viki and the Llanview U funds (which Dorian had framed her for stealing)….
Marcie held a memorial for Hudson and Julie. She admitted to her friends that she feels guilty making money off of The Killing Club since Julie and Hudson were victims of copycat murders. She decided to donate all of the money made from her book to the Love Center. Nick… Roxy tried to get Natalie to come to the diner, so Nat could hang out with John….
Natalie attempted to have a civilized conversation with Evangeline. However, when Nat took the passive-agressive approach and showed “concern” about why John seemed upset (“He did spend two very long days with you,” Nat pointed out), the women began arguing….
The Killing Club Killer admired a huge print-out of Natalie. The KCK then dropped off a “delivery” at the diner, and for whatever reason, Carlotta didn’t seem suspicious of someone who was so covered up you couldn’t see his or her face or hands. Sure enough, when Natalie went in the back to help Carlotta, the KCK attacked Nat. A surprisingly stoic John reacted to Nat’s scream by matter-of-factly stating, “That was Natalie.”

Blair addressed the elephant in the room (or should that be bed) with Todd. “Why won’t you have sex with me,” she asked. Well, Todd couldn’t tell her the truth: that whenever Blair started kissing him he had a rather disturbing flashback to Margaret crawling all over him. (One that we viewers also had to revisit, ewwww.) Instead, he began a “why I hate myself” tirade. He was still a “lying, selfish monster” and that’s why he couldn’t make love to Blair.
Speaking of oddball Margaret. We saw her putting together a scrapbook which included two bullets “and these are the bullets I took out of your daddy.” YIKES.
Daniel had a classic deer-in-the-headlights moment when he arrived home in the pouring rain. Nora questioned him (yet again!) and he offered her his rather tired “I was with the governor” excuse. Did Nora buy it? Not really. Daniel headed over to a doctor’s office to get the file on Paul Cramer’s death. The doctor was accommodating (though some key paper work was unavailable) but when he slipped out of his office, Daniel hit the medicine cabinet searching for something that came in a vial. Daniel was a bundle of nerves made even more jumpy by Paul who was circling calling him Ted.
Ah yes, the mysterious name of Ted. Bo and Rex rendezvoused at the docks to review what they had on “Ted.”
Though professing to hate each other, Natalie and Michael appeared to have lots of madcap fun splashing around in the rain. (Paging Gene Kelly.) And you know what they say about how quickly hate can turn to love. Anyway, now drenched and giggly, Natalie and Michael ran into the diner, where he had to change his shirt to get ready for work. As fate would have it, Marcie walked into the room the exact moment that Michael took off his shirt with Natalie RIGHT THERE. Fortunately Michael and Natalie did some quick talking and managed to convince Marcie that nothing was going on between them. Later, in fact, Natalie took it a step further by telling Marcie that Michael still loves her and that Marcie clearly still loves Michael.
John burst Evangeline’s desire for commitment bubble when he said those words she heard him say — I LOVE YOU, yes those words — must have been part of a dream he just had. Translation: “Evangeline they weren’t directed at you.” Now that things were good and awkward, Evangeline and John finally talked about their dreadful visit to her family. John admitted that he didn’t think he fit into Evangeline (most importantly Evangeline’s family’s) plan for the future. Evangeline assured him he did and the two began talking about some of their past relationships. John talked about Saint Caitlin and Evangeline talked about PIT (politician in Training) Dennis. Evangeline philosophized that you don’t always end up with who you think you will.
