Nash and Clint were frustrated because the snow kept them from finding Tess and Niki. Nash gave Antonio (who just arrived) the one clue they had — Jessica’s bracelet. Nash and Antonio began to argue when one of the rangers came in and told them the roads were now clear. The men found the cabin but the women weren’t there. They were seen sitting next to a truck driver in a big truck, of course.

Tess told Niki she couldn’t stop thinking about Nash. Tess continued to refuse to tell Niki what had happened all those years ago. Niki had another great idea: that they go on the run. Tess wasn’t interested but Niki managed to change her mind.

Natalie told Cris he shouldn’t be a boxer; he needs to be careful with his hands. Cris asked if she was ready to forgive him “the way you forgave John”? Natalie wondered why Cris had to start a friendship with Evangeline, of all people. Cris mentioned that Evangeline had helped him, to which Natalie said she would have helped if “given the chance.” The two squabbled. Natalie admitted that she’d hate it if Cris hooked up with Evangeline, but she wouldn’t stop it. Of course, at that moment Evangeline walked into the diner and asked if they were talking about her. Natalie left. Evangeline said that if Cris wanted to box, then he should go ahead.

John ran into Evangeline at the station. Evangeline told John that Todd decided not to appeal his conviction. John told her about his recent interaction with Dr. Crosby, “that he let a few things slip out.” Evangeline was thrilled that he was starting to open up and left. Bo told John that if he’d escort Todd to a maximum security facility, then John would be on the fast track to getting his job back. John said okay, but he wasn’t happy about the assignment. Bo hoped it would all work out. Natalie dropped by the station and was thrilled that John might be getting his job back. She hugged him.

Bo asked Paige why she was so interested in the Manning case and so convinced that Todd had to appeal his conviction. But when pressed, Paige started talking about Todd being a father and not being able to image him killing his unborn child. Bo clued Paige in on Todd’s dark side. “Do you know something I don’t know?” Bo asked.

Margaret oohed and ahhed all over baby T.J.; she assured him that “Daddy wasn’t going to die.” Margaret figured out that Spencer only cared about Blair and “that Dr. Truman is a liar and that Mama’s going to change your middle name.” Margaret got worked up about the Spencer/Blair situation and yelled that “Dr. Spencer Truman is going to regret the day he was born.” Spencer brought over some groceries. Margaret asked for some details about Todd’s fate. Spencer told Margaret to let him worry about that.

Blair woke up in Spencer’s bed. Spencer was doting on her while Blair said she felt guilty and “that she took advantage of Spencer.” She added that it was unfair to Spencer that she slept with him. Spencer acted stunned that someone would care about his feelings. Then Paige showed up. “We need to talk.” Then Blair came out of his bedroom, in a robe, of course. Blair retreated to the bedroom and Paige let Spencer have it. “If she only knew that you framed her husband,” she said. Spencer reminded her that Bo Buchanan would pay the price if Paige said anything. Paige began to tell Blair about Margaret. Spencer started talking and Paige backed down and just told Blair that Todd had refused to appeal his conviction. Blair flipped and then confronted Spencer, “You knew.” Spencer said he wanted to protect her. Blair ran off to the prison. Spencer began yelling at Paige. “You ruined my evening. You damn near ruined my life.” Oh, I feel so guilty, Paige replied. Spencer told Paige to forget she ever saw Margaret and the baby. Paige left and then place a call to Statesville — she wanted to make an appointment to see an inmate.
