Holden on Young and Restless — Everything You Need To Know

It’s perfectly understandable if fans are a little confused about the character of Holden on Young and Restless, especially given that he arrived calling himself Damian! The character first appeared in the Jan. 8, 2025 episode played by actor Nathan Owens, who viewers might recognize from his roles as Cameron on Days of Our Lives, Jesse on Devious Maids, or Ocean on Batwoman. Holden is still a bit of a mystery on Y&R, so let’s break down what we know so far!

Nate Hastings agreed to locate Amy Lewis’ son, Damian, who was also his half-brother. He met with him in Los Angeles, offering Damian a job at Winters in Genoa City. Although suspicious, Damian contacted Nate later to say that he was on his way to Genoa City to discuss the offer further. Meanwhile, Nate’s private investigator, Denise Tolliver, who had located Damian in the first place, discovered that the guy was actually the owner of the companies he’d been moving between.

When Damian arrived in town, Nate revealed that he contacted him on Amy’s behalf insisting his mother needed to speak with him. When Nate wouldn’t give any further information, Damian stormed out and went to Chancellor Park where he met with another man who turned out to be the actual Damian Kane. Holden had just been pretending to be him to find out what Nate was really after. Holden did a background check on Nate that revealed Nathan Hastings was his father and that Amy had worked for him in the past.

Holden met with Nate again to try to figure out how he and Amy are connected, but Nate insisted he had to talk to Amy about it. He refused, but later went to Nate’s apartment to continue their discussion, where he came face to face with Amy who wondered who the heck he was! Busted, Holden explained he worked for Damian and Amy insisted she had to speak with her son. Realizing Amy was ill, Holden told Damian that their charade had been exposed and that he really needed to meet with his mother.

Catching up with Damian after the emotional confrontation, Holden suggested that they had enough problems in LA without adding to their baggage with more in Genoa City, supporting his decision to go back home to California. Then it was revealed that he and Audra Charles know each other quite well, and he expected her to pay him back for helping her out with Tucker McCall. She thanked him for not saying anything about them to Nate, and he said she didn’t have to worry because he and Damian were leaving town.
