Harley finished getting ready for Gus’ memorial service (which she referred to as a “family dinner”) and found his police badge in a drawer. At the cabin, Gus and Alan woke up bickering about how they got themselves kidnapped. Alan taunted that the family assumed they were dead by now. Beth lurked outside their door. At the penthouse, Lizzie told Coop she didn’t want to go to Alan’s memorial service; she called it a joke because “Granddad” didn’t have any friends. Elsewhere, Alan-Michael told Alexandra he was skipping the service as well.

Buzz prepped Company for the dinner. Olivia stopped by on her way to Alan’s ceremony and Buzz tried to talk her into coming in for a while. She kissed Buzz on the cheek (awww). Frank came out and Buzz make himself scarce.

Harley had flashbacks of all the romantic times she had with Gus, before putting his badge back in the drawer and leaving the hotel room. She saw Mallet in the hallway, but barely had a chance to say hello before Dinah called out from Mallet’s room, asking for a soda. Harley and Mallet squirmed silently. They had a few words about the service and Harley left. Mallet went back in the room, where Dinah told him to get ready — they were going to the service. Mallet balked, saying it was just for family. She insisted that they were extended family for caring about Harley so much. Mallet flashbacked on having sex with Harley the other night. He dragged his feet, saying he shouldn’t be there. Dinah reasoned that he needed to say goodbye, as much as Harley needed to face reality.

Alan and Gus heard Beth outside the door, and Alan offered her money for their release. Beth remained silent. Alan rambled about how Alexandra probably gave him a funeral for the ages, with CEOs and other power brokers in attendance. Gus didn’t agree, reminding Alan that he’s a murderer. Beth listened intently, then blew the men a kiss and left. Olivia ran into Alexandra on Main Street. Alex was stalling on the way to the church; Alan was her greatest enemy but he was also her best friend. She didn’t believe for a moment that Olivia really cared for Alan, but Liv said she did at one time. They walked to the church together.

Quinn walked into the penthouse and told Lizzie to get dressed for Alan’s service. She bristled at the fact that he didn’t call first (she was dressed in a towel), and told him she wasn’t going. Quinn tried to talk her out of going to the Company “thing” for Gus. He insisted Coop could never appreciate her the way he does. Lizzie dropped her towel with a faux-innocent “Ooops” and kissed Quinn, promising him more…but not now. Coop was waiting. She got dressed and left while Quinn fumed.

Coop arrived at Company, where Ava was already bonding with Zack and Jude. Coop called Ava part of the family. Alan-Michael stopped by to pick up Marina. She forgot to tell him she couldn’t go to the Spaulding Valentine’s Day party because they’re having this family “thing” for Gus. Harley asked A-M to go to the Spaulding party in her place; he agreed. She urged Marina to go too, but Marina opted to stay at Company. Zack made a picture of Gus in Heaven, which impressed Harley. “Do you think he’s happy?” Zack asked. Harley assured him he was. She went outside to get some air, as the finality of Gus’ departure hit her. Beth walked up, expressing her sympathies. Harley appreciated her words and offered an olive branch — a PR gig at Spaulding. Beth was stunned, and appreciative. Harley insisted they leave all their past issues in the past, and hugged Beth.

Buzz came outside and Harley showed him Zack’s drawing. She broke down, insisting she couldn’t be strong about this anymore. “The man you loved is gone. It’s okay to act like it,” Buzz advised. They went back inside and the dinner began. Mallet and Dinah crashed it with a few friends — three fellow police officers in dress blues. They presented Harley with a folded American flag and Gus’ police hat, and they saluted. The Coopers sat stunned. Harley thanked them all, and they departed.

Alan-Michael saw Alexandra and Beth coming from Alan’s ceremony. Alex gave her nephew a program, but after she left he looked at it briefly and threw it in the trash. Coop went back to the penthouse looking for Lizzie, while she showed up at Company. Quinn opened the door to Coop, and told him he was the owner of the penthouse, not Alan. Meanwhile, Gus found a window to climb out of, but fell back in; there was a locked door on the other side. Gus’ cell phone got a signal, though his battery was almost gone. He called Company — but nobody picked up the phone.
