Reva arrived home from Paris and promptly passed out in the airport. Meanwhile, Jonathan and Tammy helped Josh set up for a welcome home party for Reva. Josh walked in on the young cousins/lovebirds smooching passionately on the couch. Josh was on his way to pick up Reva from the airport when he received a call that she had been hospitalized.
At the hospital, Reva claimed that she had only lost consciousness because she hadn’t eaten since the day before. The doctor informed Reva that tests had been ordered and Josh rushed to her side. Josh refused to let Reva sneak out of the hospital. He offered to get her a television or a magazine, but Reva was only interested in more carnal distractions, which Josh wouldn’t provide in a semi-public place. Instead, Josh filled Reva in on the goings-on during her absence, including Jonathan and Tammy’s reconciliation. Josh went to follow up with the doctor, and Billy burst in. Billy promised that he was sober, and Reva said that in another life things might have been different between them — but in this life, he was the best friend that a girl could ask for. Josh returned and called Billy out into the hallway. Josh had a project for his brother: He wanted Billy to help with the veteran’s hospital, and Billy happily agreed. Reva’s doc told her that she had to stay overnight to await the test results. Reva wanted Josh to stay the night, but he refused to break the rules. However, Josh changed his mind, and snuck back into the hospital in a doctor’s outfit. Josh climbed into Reva’s hospital bed and they snuggled.
Marina convinced Ava that she shouldn’t give up on Coop, despite any similarities to Marina’s relationship with Danny, but claimed that Ava would have to make compromises for Coop to spend time with his new child.
Meanwhile, Lizzie reminded Coop that they would have to support one another for their child’s sake. Coop agreed but didn’t want to give up on his life… including Ava. Coop agreed to be at the hospital for Lizzie’s first sonogram. Beth prattled about baby shopping and offered to help Lizzie and Coop with shopping for their little one. Tammy and Jonathan arrived in search of coffee and greeted Lizzie. Beth pulled Lizzie aside and urged her daughter to make sure Coop realized how hard it would be to raise the child separately and to see that her ex grows to love the baby. That was the way she’d win Coop back, Lizzie squealed. Tammy invited Lizzie to have coffee with her and Jonathan, but Lizzie refused because she couldn’t have caffeine or alcohol now that she was pregnant. Jonathan flashed back to the night when he slept with Lizzie and she was downing shots, despite her later claims that she already knew she was pregnant that night.
Back at Outskirts, Tammy disclosed to Jonathan that she had researched the medical consequences of cousins having a child together and learned that the chance of birth defects was only one percent higher than for other couples. She wondered if Jonathan ever thought about being a father. Jonathan wasn’t ready to be a dad but promised that they would deal with the issue together when the time came. Tammy had a test to study for, but Jonathan wanted sex instead, and she agreed to let him “quiz her.”
Coop called Company and told Ava that he was at the hospital for Lizzie’s sonogram. Mel performed the procedure and told the parents-to-be that everything looked fine. Lizzie happily grabbed Coop’s hand. Ava surprised Coop at the hospital. Mel offered her congrats and gave Coop a copy of the sonogram. Coop beamed that he was happy to see Ava and kissed her. Lizzie asked Mel to determine her date of conception and the doc agreed.
