If Nina got Valentin to dress up with her for Halloween in a couple’s costume, what would it be?
“A lion and a lion tamer. He’s the tamer, for sure. He has her wrapped around his finger — for now.”
Because you were such a big Luke and Laura fan, did you geek out the first time you met Genie Francis (Laura)?
“No, somehow I didn’t. The first time I met her was backstage at the Emmys the year she won [2007 for Supporting Actress]. She was so sweet and stunned and adorable.”
If you had the power to make sweets suddenly healthy, what would you reach for first?
“Chocolate! Always. Although, I’ve kind of convinced myself that chocolate is good for me. When I get, like, the really high-cocoa chocolate that has a lot of antioxidants, in my head, it’s like spinach.”
Have you ever gone to a GH co-star for parenting advice?
“I did have a long conversation with Becky Herbst [Elizabeth] because at one point, my daughter just was not doing well in school. And I talk to Vinessa [Antoine, Jordan] because she’s a single mom, too.”
When you run lines with scene partners, who wants to chat and who wants to get down to business?
“I’m completely guilty of being the one who wants to chat. James [Patrick Stuart, Valentin] wants to have less chatter. Vinessa’s on my team. So is Donnell [Turner, Curtis] and Ryan [Paevey, Nathan].”
What’s your favorite set to work on?
“Crimson. I like the lighting in there, I like the way it looks. There’s lots of things to do in there. It’s a fun set.”
