GH Scribe Denies Irizarry Hiring

Comments

Back in 2009, Matt Borlenghi (ex-Brian, AMC) was tapped to play a heretofore unknown Cassadine, Valentin, but plans to bring the character to GH were scrapped. Most recently, online whispers indicated that Valentin had been recast with soap vet Vincent Irizarry (ex-David, AMC), prompting Borlenghi to tweet GH's creative honchos, Executive Producer Frank Valentini and Head Writer Ron Carlivati. "Anyone care to comment on recasting me as Valentin Cassadine? Wasn't enough that I got Franco'd before? Hurts," wrote Borlenghi. Carlivati responded, insisting, "It's a false rumor, Matt. No reason to be hurt or upset."
