RIP
GH Alum Dead At 94
Soap alum Anne Jeffreys has passed away at the age of 94. Jeffreys made her GH debut in 1984 as haughty socialite Amanda Barrington, who was a friend of Lila and Edward’s. She last appeared on the soap in July 2004 when she returned for Lila’s funeral. Jeffreys’s alter ego frequented the Nurses’ Ball and shared many scenes with Lynn Herring’s Lucy. “I always enjoyed spending time w Anne. Always classy. Always a smile on her face. RIP,” posted Wally Kurth (Ned, GH; Justin, DAYS). Jeffreys also appeared intermittently on GH’s spin-off, PORT CHARLES, as Alison’s grandmother. In addition to multiple TV, stage and film roles throughout her career, from 1982-83, the actress portrayed FALCON CREST’s Amanda Croft, a rival for Jane Wyman’s Angela Channing. No immediate cause of death has been released.
