General Hospital Star Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah) Gets Married!
Major congratulations are in order for General Hospital star Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah)! The actor is now a married man, celebrating his union to bride Anna Eilinsfeld on December 6 at Fairmount Water Works in Philadelphia, PA.
So Happy Together
Like Wilson, Eilinsfeld is a working actor. She was born outside of Philadelphia and grew up playing sports before discovering her passion for theater by appearing in local stage productions. In college at Northwestern University, she studied theater and art history, then moved to New York City. She appeared on Broadway in Wicked (understudying the role of Elpheba) and also toured with the beloved musical. Her other Broadway credits are Pretty Woman: The Musical, Kinky Boots and American Psycho. She has also appeared on television, where her credits include Prodigal Son, Royal Pains and Blue Bloods, and she had a role in the film How To Be Single. Both Eilinsfeld and Wilson appeared in the 2023 short (Be)loved, which Eilinsfeld wrote about a man who is reluctantly being set up on blind dates… by his wife. She was also the executive producer. Another project of Eilinsfeld’s, Arranged Love, is currently streaming on Peacock.
The couple of over five years got engaged before Wilson was tapped to join the GH cast as Isaiah this past summer. The duo, who had been living in New York City, road-tripped with their beloved rescue Husky, Brando, to relocate to Los Angeles when he got his soap gig.
Earlier this week, Eilinsfeld shared an older photo of herself with her new husband on Instagram, and wrote, “IT’S OFFICIALLY OUR WEDDING WEEK!!! This is the earliest photo we have together. We were NOT dating, but I secretly had such a massive crush. I made sure not to stand too close to him here for fear he’d figure it out and it’d “ruin our friendship”. Well, he did find out. And the friendship was over… because he felt the same way! Now, over 5 years later, I get to marry my crush and I CANNOT WAIT. Love you @sawandiwilson😘😘😘👰🏼♀️🤵🏾♂️💒 ” Her husband-to-be commented on the post, writing, “😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ ahhhhhh [expletive]! Im so excited.”
In a post on his own Instagram Stories in the build-up to their ceremony, the actor posted a picture of his bride smiling as he planted a kiss on her cheek, with the words “Just married” written on it along with the song, “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge playing.
Photos and videos the newlyweds shared to their Instagram stories depict the glowing bride in a crystal-encrusted, fitted strapless gown, and the dapper groom in a burgundy velvet tuxedo jacket with black and white accents.
