General Hospital Comings & Goings: Why Peter Stormare Appeared As A Mystery Man With Felicia

Comments

On the Friday, November 7 episode of General Hospital, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) had a strange encounter with a mystery man in a suit who approached her at the hospital. The stranger, who appeared to be wearing a G.H. employee badge, handed her a folder, and he showed off his quick reflexes when her pencil rolled off the desk. After he handed it back to her and headed off to the elevator, Felicia seemed rattled and a bit suspicious. She called after him to wait, but he ignored her. The unusual interaction got fans talking online — especially those viewers who recognized the actor playing the odd gentleman as film and primetime television vet Peter Stormare!

Called to Duty

Peter Stormare is a Swedish actor, director and musician who has appeared in a diverse range of roles. In 1996, he burst onto the Hollywood scene in the Coen brothers classic Fargo. In the movie, which was nominated for Best Picture at the 1997 Oscars, Stormare gave a memorable and chilling performance as the cold-blooded and almost entirely silent killer Gaear Grimsrud. He teamed with the Coen brothers again for another one of their cult hits, 1998’s The Big Lebowski, and has also collaborated with more of the biggest directors working in mainstream cinema, from Steven Spielberg (Minority Report) to Michael Bay (ArmageddonThe Lost World: Jurassic Park), as well as those in the arthouse sphere, such as Lars von Trier (Dancer in the Dark).

Stormare’s notable television credits include the role of John Abruzzi on Prison Break and appearances on American Gods, Longmire and The Blacklist. He also has a robust list of video game credits, which includes Destiny 2, Until Dawn and the soon-to-be-released Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is slated to debut on November 14.

Stormare’s GH appearance was a one-off, sponsored by Call of Duty, and was tied to the imminent release of the game’s latest installment. A tongue-in-cheek extended scene with Stormare and Wagner popped up on the official GH Instagram after his episode aired. Check it out below!
