On General Hospital, Rocco Falconeri got two bonus siblings, Danny Morgan and Scout Quartermaine, when Finn’s dad, Dante, blended his family with Samantha Morgan’s. Those bonds remained even after Sam’s tragic murder late last year, and Finn Carr, who plays Rocco, tells Soap Opera Digest that the affection the characters have for one another on camera is a reflection of how well he gets along with co-stars Asher Antonyzyn (Danny) and Cosette Abinante (Scout).

Sibling Revelry

“Asher and I are great friends away from the set, as is provably evident in our scenes,” Carr grins. “He is such a nice guy — just a great person in general. With Asher, I feel like there’s a next-level kind of relatability, because we’re the same age. I really love working with him, and we always compare schedules to see if we’re working together because it’s just so much fun to be with him on set.”

And then there’s Abinante. “Cosy is so great, too,” Carr enthuses. “I have a younger sister in real life who is about the same age as her, so I have a lot of relatability surrounding both of them.”

Having such warm bonds with his castmates helped keep Carr’s nerves at bay — at least somewhat — when he faced what he described as a particularly daunting acting challenge: performing an emotional monologue at Sam’s funeral. “The one that I felt the most intimidated by, that I would say was the most challenging scene, was where I was delivering the funeral speech,” he nods. “That was definitely an intimidating environment, being around so many very talented actors and having all eyes on you and also trying to do justice to such a legendary character. I don’t normally get very nervous before acting; I find that being on set is a very therapeutic kind of experience. But that was definitely a time where I had to kind of calm my nerves and really just try and stay true to the character and not let the nerves get the best of me.”

On that day, he shares, “As I was sitting there and I was listening to some of the other people deliver their speeches, I realized, ‘Rocco would be nervous to give this speech.’ So I wasn’t able to fully get rid of my nerves by the time I went up there, but I decided, ‘Well, while they’re already there, I might as well try and use them!’ And that worked really well. I felt in character, and not nervous as Finn, when I was up there delivering that speech.”

Strength In Numbers: Rocco relied on his honorary siblings, Scout (Cosette Abinante) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), to get through Sam’s heartbreaking funeral.
