Eileen Davidson, who has played Y&R’s Ashley Abbott on and off since 1982, wrapped her most recent run at the soap on Friday. Jason Thompson (Billy) posted a video on Instagram of his on-screen sibling getting her makeup done for the last time, praising, “Love this one! Really going to miss my siss.” At a good-bye party for the actress, Lauralee Bell (Christine) shared a photo with Makeup Artist Patti Denney, noting, “When I started #YR (and even before) I would study Eileen because she had such a naturalness to her acting! A perfect person to mentor.. talented, smart, strong, beautiful & kind. My dad would say she’s a class act and there’s no question we all agree! Wishing you great things ahead!” Christian J. LeBlanc (Michael) also shared a photo from the party, captioning it, “Saying good-bye to this AMAZING TALENT… #TeamYR.” Davidson’s former DAYS co-star Eric Martsolf (Brady) weighed in, posting, “She came, she saw, she kicked daytimes’ butt. From one of her many daytime “men”, I wanted to wish this lady a worthy congratulations for blessing the genre with her wit, strength, and beauty. Aloha, Eileen. #dool #nbcdays #youngandtherestless #kristendimera #class.” On June 27, the actress announced on social media that she would be leaving the show. “Yes I am leaving my second home @YandR_CBS in September,” she wrote. “I’ve been so blessed to be able to play Ashley Abbott and work with the amazing people on the show and have nothing but gratitude and love for all!!” Check out the party pics here.
