Editors Share Their Favorite GH Memories

Comments

Stephanie Sloane: GH was the show that truly got me hooked on soaps, more specifically, the love story of Luke and Laura.

Stella Bednarz: “In 1994, after Maxie received a transplant, Tony slipped into her room and gently leaned his head on Maxie’s chest to hear his late daughter, B.J.’s, heart beating. I cried like a baby.”

Amy E. Gross: “The rabbi at my father’s funeral remarked in a somewhat weird moment that my husband looked just like Brad Maule [ex-Tony], so I always took note of his scenes with a special interest.”

Mara Levinsky: “I have so many wonderful GH memories both as a viewer and from covering the show for SOD. But watching during the heyday of Sonny and Brenda with my friends in our college dorm is a particularly special one.”

Lee Meyer: “I loved the whole Lucky/Elizabeth romance back when they were teens. I was growing up watching them, and everything — Lucky finding Liz in the park after she was attacked, the boxcar, their first kiss — was so magical.”

Devin Owens: “The TV in the break room of my old job was always set to ABC soaps. The moment Luke and Robert saved the world from being iced over, the room erupted in applause and screams. I remember getting so swept up by it all that I was holding hands with my boss and jumping up and down.”

Tom Stacy: “Walking onto the nurses’ hub set for the very first time, after seeing it on TV for years, was a thrill I’ll never forget.”
