Sami invited EJ over for dinner. He brought wine, but noted that he wasn’t sure she would want any in light of her drinking earlier. She said she was fine, after guzzling water and showering. She was still stung by the fact that she wasn’t invited to Carrie and Austin’s quickie nups. The began making out. Sami pulled back, asking if they could take their time before getting intimate. They talked briefly, then went back to their heavy petting.
At her hotel suite, Kate told Lucas that Carrie and Austin were married — and that Sami trailed her to the nups. Lucas was surprised it all happened so fast, but didn’t really care. Will overheard Kate trash-talking Sami and told her to cut it out. Once alone, Will admitted to his father that he was tired of moving from house to house and that he cared about Sami. Will suggested they make amends with Sami; an eavesdropping Kate barged in and told them not to. The guys took off for Sami’s apartment. Kate called EJ’s cell to warn him, but he didn’t pick up.
Will and Lucas interrupted Sami and EJ’s romantic night. The two got redressed. Sami opened the door and figured they came by to chastise her for crashing the wedding. Will said no, they were there because they missed her. Lucas chimed in, apologizing for the way he treated her. He said they could be great parents to Will if they avoided getting emotionally involved with each other. A teary Sami hugged her son. EJ piped up and told Sami to forget about them and continue their evening. Will told Wells to leave, explaining that he wanted to spend time with his mother. EJ asked Sami, er, Samantha what she wanted. She said she thought it would be a good idea if he left. For good, he asked. No, replied Sami, but Lucas and Will are her family and she needs them. Annoyed, EJ told her she had to choose between him and Lucas/Will.
Frankie came to the hospital to be with his family. Max showed up, too. Stephanie wheeled in to check on her parents. She and Max had an awkward moment and then she went back to her room. Frankie asked his brother what was going on between them. Max revealed that he planned to dump her. After, Max went to visit Steph in her room, but left after she asked if he had something he wanted to say to her. He returned to the garage and talked to Abby about Steph. Max revealed that he tried to break up with her. Abby apologized for getting him the gift to give her. He said he should have asked what she bought. “I’m the idiot; you were just trying to help,” he admitted. She assured him that he was a good guy.
Frankie went to Steph’s room, looking for Max. Steph asked Frankie what was going on with Max and told him how she freaked out when he tried to break up with her. She added that she didn’t want to be strung along by a guy who wanted nothing to do her and urged Frankie to be honest with her. “Not knowing is the one thing I can’t deal with,” she sighed. He admitted that he came up because he thought Max broke up with her. Frankie tried to comfort her, but she asked for time alone. He returned to be with his parents. Frankie told Shawn that once Steve and Kayla were okay, he planned to move back to D.C. Shawn urged him not to make a hasty decision.
Bo and John went over their information on Patrick and EJ. After a discussion with his father, Bo realized that he had to fill Abe in on what he and John were doing. John went to the station and told Commissioner Carver that he and Bo had been doing their side investigating and may have blown the case wide open. Bo came in right after. Abe was peeved at Bo’s vigilante cop actions. John defended Bo; Abe settled down. John revealed that EJ Wells was Patrick’s accomplice. Abe didn’t buy it. They presented their evidence. He revealed that the police department traced the black gloves to Florence, Italy and that this information would come in handy. Bo recalled Sami asking him to do a fingerprint trace on a threatening note she received and that EJ’s prints were on it.
