Days of our Lives Spoilers Promo Video: ‘Good Night, My Love’

The action in this Days of Our Lives spoilers video preview for the week of June 9 opens with Marlena lovingly looking at each photo included in the tribute to her late husband, as we hear her son, Eric, say, “We’re here to honor an incredible life and legacy.” A voice-over follows, declaring, “For 40 years, he defined heroism and romance.” As that line plays, flashbacks of John appear to illustrate the sentiment — including the moment he was nearly executed, and another where he toasts Marlena with champagne. “That’s a fact,” John says — delivering his beloved catchphrase.

Back in the present, John’s kids — biological and those he raised — raise a toast to him. Belle, Carrie, Paul, and Eric clink their coffee cups in tribute to the man who helped shape them into the extraordinary people they are today. The voice-over returns with an invitation: “Next week, join Days of Our Lives as we celebrate the life of John Black.” As those words are spoken, the scene shifts to the memorial service, where loved ones — including Brady, Carrie, Kayla, and Roman — are seen laughing at fond memories shared.

Remembering The Man

“I don’t think we talk enough about how funny my dad was,” Belle shares, as her mother Marlena smiles and laughs in agreement. Paul is next at the podium as he says, “Baseball can bring people together.” Rachel also reflects her special bond with Grandpa John when she shares, “He’s saying, ‘Take Me Out to the Ball Game.’ ” Looking to comfort the young girl, Marlena says, “I bet he was calling out, ‘Swing for the fences.’ ” As everyone leans in close to Marlena, she can be heard whispering, “Good night, my love.”
