Chat With B&B’s Heather Tom About Her New Film
B&B Heather Tom (Katie) has not only directed a number of episodes of B&B but her new short film, Serenity, is now available for viewing — and director Tom is taking questions from the audience. “My short film, Serenity, will be premiering on a brand-new streaming platform called IndieVue on Monday, January 8, at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST,” she shares. “IndieVue.com is an interactive site for independent films, and I’ll be doing a live talkback session over replay with viewers right after the film airs (kind of like a Periscope feed). Serenity, which is my directorial debut in film, is a drama that deals with the devastating effects of opioid addiction on a family — a subject that too many of us have a connection to. We brought it to the Cannes Film Festival this past summer and Vince Nappo, our lead, recently won Best Actor at LA Shorts Fest 2017 — an Oscar-qualifying short film festival — and his performance is not to be missed!”
