What Happened to Bobby Marsino on Young and Restless

Comments

Bobby Marsino hasn’t been on Young and Restless for many years, so it’s understandable if newer viewers don’t remember his history in Genoa City. But hey, that’s where we come in! The character was played by John Enos from his first appearance in June 2003 until Y&R killed him off in October 2005.

In 2003, Bobby lured Brittany Hodges to sing at his strip club, Marsino’s and she agreed only to sing, not strip. However, she eventually gave in and started taking it off for the customers as well. This caused problems in her relationship with Raul Guttierez, who teamed up with her father to get Marsino’s shut down for underage drinking. Bobby befriended Jill Abbott but rebuffed her romantic advances as he was smitten with Brittany. When he managed to reopen his club, Brittany was badly burned when her stripper pole was electrocuted when the mob tried to take revenge against her father and Raul.

Bobby couldn’t help but fall for his beautiful star attraction.

Both Bobby and Raul were there for Brittany as she recovered, and Bobby decided to turn his strip club into a cabaret named Marilyn’s to showcase Brittany’s singing. This angered Bobby’s mob bosses, who threatened to kill Brittany to teach him a lesson, but he was wearing a wire and got them arrested. Now free of the mob, Bobby went legit and tried to go straight but when the cabaret wasn’t bringing in the cash, resorted to doing strip nights as well, bringing in Nikki Newman as a consultant.

Brittany and Bobby then became an official couple and he eventually popped the question. Raul had helped Brittany find a surgeon to fix her facial scar but seeing she was in love with Bobby, let her go. Brittany’s father was not thrilled about the wedding, but her mother convinced him to attend the ceremony.

Bobby and Nikki were drawn to each other.

Nikki began recovering memories of causing the accidental death of her best friend when she was little, and soon discovered that he had been Bobby’s older brother. Bobby used to work at The Bayou and admired Nikki when she was stripping there. When Bobby learned the truth about what Nikki had done, he was furious and left town for a little while, but soon returned, and sparks began flying between them. Brittany wasn’t thrilled with her husband’s growing closeness with Nikki, especially since she was now pregnant and they were having money troubles.

Unfortunately, Bobby took a payout from the mob to stash some diamonds to make ends meet and Brittany was upset. He tried to get out of it, but the mob was intent on luring him back in. To protect his wife and unborn child, Bobby and Brittany made it seem like J.T. Hellstrom was the babydaddy and faked a breakup. When a nosy Nikki discovered their scheme, she ended up getting kidnapped by the mob, and Bobby and Victor rescued her. When Brittany gave birth prematurely, J.T. and Mac were on hand to help deliver Joshua, named after Bobby’s late brother.

Sadly, Bobby didn’t get to spend much time with his son.

With the mobsters in jail, Bobby entered Witness Protection to ensure Brittany and Joshua’s safety, and it wasn’t until months later that they were able to visit him. Tragically, shortly after that visit, Brittany received word that Bobby had been killed in a hit-and-run.
