Beyond The Gates’s Trisha Mann-Grant and Ambyr Michelle Chat with Michael Fairman
On Beyond The Gates, Trisha Mann-Grant and Ambyr Michelle play the complicated mother-and-daughter team of Leslie (or is it Dana, among other names?) and Eva, who have recently arrived in town and have taken a blowtorch to the seemingly perfect marriage of Ted Richardson and Nicole Dupree. The two stars from the newest CBS soap will visit the Michael Fairman Channel for a live interview on Wednesday night, June 25, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Going Beyond The Gates
Back in May, Mann-Grant and Michelle mesmerized viewers with their portrayal of the mother/daughter duo when the big reveal in their storyline reached a climax, and Leslie confronted Ted at his and Nicole’s anniversary party. Leslie revealed that she was Ted’s mistress years ago and that she had his child, Eva, shocking all of those who were gathered at the country club to celebrate Ted and Nicole. It was also revealed that Eva had been secretly working for Nicole, all the while knowing she was Ted’s daughter, as part of her mother’s revenge plan. Realizing that Eva has grown fond of both her father and his wife, Leslie has teetered between fully disowning her and doing everything she can to reel her back in to keep her from testifying against her if she’s charged in connection with Laura’s hit-and-run accident (spoiler alert: Leslie is guilty!).
Before BTG, Mann-Grant had recurring roles playing Dominique Leroux in The Family Business and Souldragon in CV Nation. She also appeared in Mind Your Business and Black Famous, and in several films including A Royal Christmas Surprise, Because We’re Done and Santa Games. You may have seen Michelle previously as Eureka in Snowfall, Ashlyn in Running Point and Maya Goldstein in The Green Couch as well as the film Little Reminders and shorts like Chameleon: Black Box Part 2, The Little Girl Inside and Environment.
Mann-Grant and Michelle will be on hand to chat about being part of the first hour-long Black-led network soap opera, and more. You can watch the video chat and participate in the live stream below.
