B&B’s Tanner Novlan And Jacqueline MacInnes Woods Drop New Merch For ‘Sinn’ Fans
As Finn and Steffy celebrate four years together, the Bold and Beautiful actors who portray them, Tanner Novlan and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, wanted to do something special for their fans. So, for one week only, they have made special “Sinn” merchandise that is dropping Friday, November 8.
Celebrate ‘SINN’
The on-screen couple has shared many memorable scenes together, but it was the duo’s reunion in Monte Carlo — which took place after Steffy went overseas after her husband appeared to have died at the hands of his own biological mother, Sheila — that stood out to the actors as perhaps the most memorable. “Jacqueline and I were just talking,” Novlan tells Digest about the genesis of this passion project. “And we just kept talking about [that] moment… It’s still one of the most iconic moments, and when the fans did a flyover [of the B&B studio in honor of the four-year anniversary of the pairing in August], we thought, ‘How else do we celebrate this iconic moment?’ We just thought that this would be a great way for fans of B&B to celebrate the significance of Monte Carlo. That place is significant in B&B, not only for ‘Sinn’ but for the show as a whole.”
The actors “personally designed” the merchandise, Novlan reports. Elaborates the actor, “It’s three T-shirts, three crew necks and two baseball caps, within three different kinds of color schemes that are very soothing, for Monte Carlo. We put little Easter eggs in the design, which I thought was really fun. One of them was Jacqueline, in her own handwriting, wrote, ‘Brought me to you’ and in my handwriting, it says, ‘It will always be our special place,’ which were lines from the reunion episode, which was really cool.”
When it came to collaborating with Wood on the designs, “If we had two completely different styles, that could’ve been a little tricky,” Novlan acknowledges. “Luckily, it was pretty effortless! We worked with someone who handled the end design of it a little bit, but we both wanted to focus on the graphic of the hug and the reunion and when they’re professing [their love to one another] in that moment. So we were both on the same page with honestly a lot of it.” He declares of his co-star, “She’s amazing to work with.”
At its core, the merch is a way for Novlan and Wood “to help celebrate ‘Sinn’ and the show,” he says, adding, “There really has never been a way to do that, other than vocally. And now, you can support it physically! You can wear it! And the way the shirt is designed, it’s not a big in-your-face [statement]. We wanted to make sure it honestly is more of like a Monte Carlo vacation tee — it looks like you could pick it up in Monte Carlo and then when you look closer you say, ‘Oh, what is this?’ And so if you see someone else wearing it, it’s kind of like, ‘You know, and I know, what this really is!’ We wanted to make it tongue-in-cheek and something that you could wear every day and not feel like it’s a logo or anything like that.”
The project was something the actors really enjoyed creating. “It’s really exciting to do and I think you know, a tribute to B&B, Monte Carlo and the ‘Sinn’ fans,” shares Novlan.
For The Fans
Given the international reach of B&B and its fans located all over the world, Novlan assures that “We can ship [these products] internationally. We wanted to make sure that part of the B&B and ‘Sinn’ community and everyone [around the world] can join in on it, too,” he shares. “So I think that’s really special.”
The web site where you can purchase the merchandise will go live at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT Friday — but it’s only going to be live for one week. “This will be offered until the 15th of November,” notes Novlan. “It’ll be like a one-time, limited commemorative moment for the ‘Sinn’ Monte Carlo moment. This will be it — one week.”
