B&B’s Bono In New Film
B&B’s Chaz Bono (Rev. Rydell) appears in the film Dirty, which begins streaming everywhere today. In the flick, Bono plays Jerry the Hoarder. “Jerry is very quirky and really character-y, like a Steve Buscemi-type,” he describes. “He’s a junkie and a crackhead, and he’s this police informant who is integral to the film’s plot. He’s a very disturbed guy. I really prepared for the role. I went in there [to read] in a pair of ripped pajama bottoms and a T-shirt that I rolled in the mud. I went to a friend’s house beforehand who’s a drag queen and had him put some makeup on me to darken under my eyes and make me look really bad — and got the part that day! Honestly, everything that I’ve ever gotten since has been as a result of that [performance]. It has gotten me into every door since, so I am incredibly grateful for it.”
