B&B Star Releases One-Man Show On YouTube
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL’s Alley Mills (Pam) produced her husband Orson Bean’s (ex-Howard) award-winning, critically acclaimed one man show Safe at Home: An Evening with Orson Bean earlier this year on the stage. Despite an offer to take it to New York, renowned actor/comedian Bean decided to share it online — free to the public. “The reaction has been intense,” states Mills of the production. “People have been blown away. It’s a profound experience, with Orson being so incredibly honest.” Adds the couple’s granddaughter, Zelly Atlan, “My best friend, greatest support system and incredible grandfather has posted his entire award-winning one man show on YouTube for the world to see for free. He had an offer to bring the show to NY but instead decided he just wanted to spread joy for all to be able to see (and laugh, and cry, etc.). That speaks more about his character than anything I could write here.
