Thomas and Taylor fumed at each other as they awaited Agent Dunn’s arrival. He sent Gaby upstairs to pack and announced that they were leaving. Left alone with him, Taylor tried to talk him down. She reminded him that he had immunity and called Gaby a “survivor.” He slammed her for being heartless. When Gaby returned (with no bags), he took her hand and headed for the door. Unfortunately, Agent Dunn and a few uniformed officers were on the other side. The group backed into the entryway, where Taylor stated, for the record, that the marriage “was a sham,” explaining that she’d lied about knowing he’d married Gaby for her green card. When a tearful Gaby was taken into custody (not yet having said a word), Thomas insisted he be arrested as well. Agent Dunn ignored the “order” and started for the door, but this time Dunn got the surprise. Attorney Carmen Gutierrez was on the other side and announced she was “Mrs. Forrester’s legal representation,” as in Mrs. Thomas Forrester! After confirming with Gaby and Thomas that they’d consummated their marriage, she calmly turned on Taylor. “There’s nothing ridiculous about it, Mrs. Forrester. The word of a disgruntled mother-in-law over the word of two young people so obviously in love.” She wove the story out for them as the media might: “Daughter of the Forrester family maid, orphaned after a car accident involving Stephanie Forrester. She’s lucky enough to fall in love and marry the son of Ridge Forrester, heir to Forrester Creations, but the family — particularly the mother-in-law — has issues with her son marrying a minority.” Taylor was aghast, but the savvy lawyer then moved on to Agent Dunn, warning that it would be unwise to go after such a high-profile case if he wasn’t “rock solid, which I can see you’re not.” Agent Dunn quickly acquiesced, but Taylor was still livid. Having already shown some major backbone (finally), Gaby exclaimed, “I couldn’t just let you deport me. This marriage is real, whether you liked it or not, isn’t it Thomas?” He agreed and ordered the cuffs off. As they were removed, “sweet Gaby” glared at her mother-in-law.

Brooke remained committed to proving she doesn’t love Nick. She was firm with Nick when he called, insisting they both had to move on, which she said was “exactly what I’m doing as we speak.” The call left her saddened, but she shook it off and used Hope’s drowning as an excuse with Dante when he returned with a bottle opener. They rehashed the hospital scenes, noting that seeing Brooke and Nick is what had set everything off for Bridget, leading up the “test.” Then Brooke told him she believed Nick and Bridget could make it happen. When she complimented her daughter, Dante told her not to sell herself short, saying, “You have a lot to offer to a man…besides the obvious, of course.” The obvious being, “Your smile, your beauty, your eyes. It’s quite intoxicating actually.” Brooke returned the compliment and when he got up to pour the wine, she quipped, “Sounds intoxicating.” The flirting and innuendos continued after their swim. Brooke told him she was more relaxed around him. “You make everything seem so uncomplicated.” Then Dante said life might seem less complicated if she avoided the Forrester men, who always let her down. When she suggested she ought to “expand her horizons,” he responded, “Yeah, maybe even to the shores of Italy…Where lovers sleep until noon.” Then, out of the blue, she asked after his feelings for Bridget and he explained that Bridget just never returned his interest. “That just proves how much she loves Nick, being able to resist such a wonderful man like you,” Brooke cooed. “Not many can,” he quipped cockily. Brooke made sure he didn’t think she was an “old woman” and then mentioned the position she’d offered him at Forrester. He asked what position she had “in mind,” to which she responded, “I could think of a lot of positions I’d like to try you in.” He called her naughty, which he liked, but just as she moved in for the kiss, Nick called, all worked up after a conversation with Eric.

Eric had visited Nick’s office to confront him about his feelings for Brooke. He’d wondered if Nick was as resolute about committing to Bridget as Brooke was about it and warned that if not, he’d have to tell Bridget the truth. Nick admitted he wanted to tell the truth too, but was following Brooke’s wishes. Eric told him that Brooke had a mysterious plan to prove to Bridget that she was over him. That is what prompted the call, but Brooke ignored him and responded as though he was talking about plans he had for Bridget — for Dante’s benefit. When she hung up on Nick, she asked Dante to tell Bridget she was over Nick. Then she kissed him to prove it.
