Simon and Carly prepared for the open house. Carly beckoned Simon to the window when she noticed the freak ice storm. She was upset to realize that the icy conditions would keep prospective buyers away. The power went out but sparks flew between the duo; they kissed passionately.

At the hospital, Margo told Bob about how Katie had found Mike’s car, but no Mike, at the site of the interstate pile-up. Jack felt confdent that Katie was safe at home; Margo wasn’t so sure. With good reason, as Katie was wandering the highway screaming for Mike. To her great relief, she found her husband.

In Lily’s now-vacant hospital room, Holden tried to calm down Luke, who was understandably concerned about what had happened to his mom. Holden demanded answers from hospital staffers. Lucinda showed up as a corpse was wheeled by; Holden insisted upon seeing the body. It wasn’t Lily. Luke then enlisted Bob in the search for Lily. Holden went into the chapel to pray for his wife; she appeared to him and urged him not to give up hope.

Dusty was helping Lucy get sickly Johnny to the hospital when a kindly stranger offered them a ride. Lucy was concerned about the well-being of the good samaritan who had helped her and Johnny. Once at the hospital, Dusty reluctantly handed the baby over to the doctors to be examined. Lucy insisted on getting to work. Bob delivered Johnny’s diagnoses: strep throat, nothing life-threatening. Dusty gave Lucy a kiss on the forehead and thanked her for helping his son.

Paul, Meg and Emily tore through the raging fire in the barn to safety. Once inside Emma’s house, Paul and Meg bustled about dealing with Emily’s raging labor contractions. Meg delivered Paul and Emily’s daughter — but she wasn’t crying.
