Sierra met up with Dusty at Java to talk about Jennifer’s surprise press conference and revealed that Jennifer made an announcement about Street Jeans new makeup line that she didn’t clear with the company first. Sierra also mentioned that Jen keeps sending the same design to the design staff. Sierra wondered if Jen came back to work too soon after her baby’s death. Meanwhile, the Lakeview bellhop introduced Jennifer to Pete, a seedy meth pusher. Jennifer was short on cash so she ran downstairs to get money from an ATM and left the creepy guy alone in her hotel room. Pete started snooping around and pocketing things. Hal came upon Jennifer beating up the ATM machine when it denied her cash and then noticed how shaky and sweaty Jennifer was. Hal offered to give her some money, and Jennifer gave him an work excuse for why she needed so much money. Dusty found Pete in Jennifer’s room and threatened to have him arrested. He went through Pete’s pockets, found the meth and threw Pete out. Jennifer returned and Dusty confronted her with the meth.
On the plane to Mexico, Lucinda and Keith bickered and Lucinda said she had to make her own choices about her cancer treatment, despite what her daughters though. Keith blasted her for blackmailing him into flying her to Mexico for her cancer treatment in exchange for her silence about him delivering harvested organs. But both were unaware that Luke was passed out under a blanket in the back of the plane. Back in Oakdale, Lily wouldn’t believe Holden’s claim that Lucinda was on a plane with Keith. Holden wondered if Keith was lying to Lily again, while Lily insisted it was Lucinda who was lying. Holden declared that Lily’s attachment to Keith was blinding her. Lily insisted that Keith wouldn’t hurt her or Luke. Sierra arrived and believed that Keith and Lucinda went to Mexico. Lily refused to believe it as Sierra tried to call Lucinda. While Keith and Lucinda were in the Mexican clinic, Luke woke up (wearing some colorful Hawaiian-looking boxers) and realized he was in Mexico. Lily called Keith and asked him if he took Lucinda to Mexico. He admitted he did and said he had no choice. Lily blasted him for putting her mother’s life at risk and said she’d never forgive him. Lily hung up on him and asked to be alone. Keith told Lucinda they were leaving right now, while Luke tried to call out to the plane to no avail.
At the park, Gwen wondered why Carly was going to let her be alone with Rory (who cried throughout the whole first scene). Carly said it was Nancy’s idea but Gwen said she couldn’t do it because she had to work. Nancy offered to call her friend Charlie at Al’s Diner on Gwen’s behalf, so Gwen agreed. Carly bought three waters for everyone (an important plot point!) and she and Nancy took off for Java. At Java, Nancy tried to reassure a “nervous” Carly. Gwen told Rory she gave him away because she was scared but she promised she’d be a good mom now. Jack found Gwen with Rory in the park and wondered why she was alone with Rory. Gwen feared he was there to bust her and insisted that Carly said she could have a half hour with Rory. Jack let her keep Rory while he went to see Carly at Java. With Rory in the stroller, Gwen opened her bottled water and drank some. Jack showed up at Java and was amazed by Carly’s sudden turnaround. Carly insisted it was Nancy’s idea to let Gwen spend some time with Rory. Nancy went to call Al’s for Gwen, so Jack asked Carly what was really going on. Carly convinced him her intentions were noble and Jack said he was proud of her. Meanwhile, Gwen finished the water and felt woozy, then passed out on the park bench. A mystery person then wheeled Rory away. Carly and Nancy left to meet Gwen, who woke up and found Rory gone. Gwen, don’t go near the water (bottle)…
