Paul’s flight was delayed by a sick pilot. Paul asked Emily to go with him to Italy. She balked, but they agreed Jennifer needs a change of scenery. Elsewhere, Dusty and Jennifer picked up their tickets for Tampa. She thanked him for believing her, and Dusty suggested buying some “trashy magazines.” (We suggest Soap Opera Weekly, on newsstands everywhere!) Emily kissed Paul goodbye, and then Jen and Dusty spotted her and slipped away — or so they thought. Emily nailed them. It was obvious they were traveling together, so they concocted a story about a sudden trip to a fashion show. Emily was skeptical and suggested telling Paul they were going. Jennifer blasted Em for treating her like an invalid who needed Paul’s okay for everything. Dusty said they were going to Philly, then maybe New York. Emily realized there were no flights to Philadelphia and discovered the pair actually got on a plane for Tampa “as in Tampa, Fla.?” Emily called Paul’s voicemail to rat out Jen, then bought a ticket.
Lucinda told Holden he and Lily belong together, and he should do something about it. She welcomed Luke home, and said good riddance to Keith, but Luke defended him. Outside, Keith expressed concern about Luke, but she wasn’t interested in his “lies,” and told him to leave. She said Luke’s troubles were Keith’s fault for flying Lucinda to the clinic in the first place. Keith apologized and told her didn’t know they were live donors. He was clubbed over the head and left for dead in the desert, but a farmer found him. Lucinda spilled to Luke that Keith was trafficking in black-market human organs for Blanca. Luke was crushed, then suggested that Keith was duped; Holden told him the cops were looking for Keith. Luke noted that his parents “looked closer,” and Lucinda laughed, saying, “something is happening.” Lily doesn’t want to think about Keith, and Holden appeared to tell him to get lost. Luke said Mexico would have been worth it if his parents get back together. Lucinda revealed she was having surgery tomorrow. Keith told Holden that Lily was none of his business, but Holden insisted “It is now.” A stunned Keith asked, “Are you two back together again?” Her silence told him. Keith vowed to give her some time to think about it: “We’re not done, Lily; we can’t be.”
Carly blasted the nurse for handing over Rory to an imposter, whom she realized was Gwen. A panicked Carly called Jack, hysterical. Meanwhile, instead of hitting the road, Gwen brought Rory to the roof of her building. She admitted to Rory she needed help, and, “There’s only one person left.” (Tony Almeida? No, that was Jack on 24, not this Jack…) This Jack reassured Carly that Gwen probably went home to pack. Turned-out Gwen called Will, and called him on his promise to always help her. But before he could mount his white horse, Hal grabbed Will for father/son bonding. At Gwen’s, Carly started getting weepy when they realized Gwen had indeed packed and left. Police were canvassing the building (CHECK THE ROOF!), and Jack ordered surveillance of all bus and train stations, and the airport (WHAT ABOUT THE ROOF?). Carly blamed herself for tuning her back, and said it was “just like my brother,” when she killed him. (Well, except for the killing part.) Hal babbled about Jennifer until he got a call about “Gwen Norbeck.” Will’s eyes stopped glazing over when he heard this, and he bolted. Jack reassured Carly it was not her fault, it was his (You know, it’s not you, it’s me.). Carly feared she failed Rosanna. Finally arriving at the roof, Will flipped when he saw the baby. “This is so wrong,” he pronounced. Gwen told Will Carly “killed her own brother,” but she “didn’t mean to drag you into this.” (Um, did you call him by accident?) Will urged her to turn herself in to his father. A cop brought Iris over, so Jack and Carly played “Bad Cop/Psycho Cop” on her, and despite Carly trying to get medieval on Iris, she pled ignorance. Gwen filled in Will on her master plan: go to New York and work something out. Will feared she would end up in some hellhole and he wouldn’t forgive himself, so he decided to become a co-kidnapper. “We’re taking my car; I’m going with you.” Taking a page from his crazy wife’s book, Jack threatened Iris with a “world of hurt,” but Iris stuck by her story. Jack told her to “guess” where Gwen went. Hal appeared and suggested that Will may be helping Gwen. (SHOULD SOMEBODY CHECK THE ROOF?) Will said helping her was the only option that “makes sense.” Gwen suggested visiting an old middle school teacher who’s “pretty cool.” (Attention, Will: She thought going up on the roof of her own building was pretty cool, too.) The pair stared meaningfully into each other’s eyes, then Will grabbed her bags, and they headed downstairs.
