Di tried to keep Tad out of the suite, but he bulled his way in. Dixie hid in the bathroom and called Zach, but couldn’t talk too loudly or Tad would hear. As Tad marveled at the bar and bed, Di hid Dixie’s shoes and talked him out of visiting the bathroom. Tad pulled Di onto the bed and started making out over her protestations — which prompted him to start kissing her leg like Pepe LePew. Di asked him to take her away. Tad opened the door to find Zach, who said, “You found her.” Di signaled him, and he covered by pretending to be angry that Di brought her boyfriend to the suite. When Tad and Di left, Dixie came out. She insisted she cannot come between Kendall and Greg, so Zach threatened to tell Kendall about Dixie’s link to Greg. Zach said too many people already know she’s alive, so the truth will come out anyway. On the beach, Tad explained kites to Di, and sensed something was bothering her. She suggested he “go fly a kite.” Zach warned Dixie against using Kendall as a bargaining chip against Greg and demanded to know what Greg did, but Dixie feared she’d already said too much.

Erica dropped some pills into a water pitcher while watching Greg suffer under the hot New Beginnings studio lights. “Help is on the way,” she chuckled. Ryan watched as Erica brought Greg the mineral water. Greg was intrigued by the odd taste. Ryan summoned Erica to her office, and warned her to stop “before it’s too late.” He feared she was going to “slaughter him” on national TV — by revealing Greg’s secrets. Josh burst in and demanded to know what dirt Erica dug up on his father. Erica promised them both she would not expose his secrets on the air, and tossed Josh out. He went to the set and poured himself a cup of tainted water. Spotting him on the monitor, Erica rushed to the set, took the cup away and banished him from her set. Ryan watched suspiciously as Erica started the show. Greg sweated as he recounted childhood anecdotes and Erica fed him leading questions about seeking mastery over reproduction and having a “God complex.” She asked, “Do you ever have any remorse?” and if he destroys dreams by not helping certain people. Who is worthy of having children? Greg tried to defend himself, but grew disoriented as she twisted his words and threw them back at him. He rose to leave, but collapsed.

Kendall returned home to a surprise baby shower, courtesy of Jonathan and Lily. When she wasn’t enthusiastic, Jonathan figured Kendall hated him and he tried to leave, but Lily pleaded his case, and noted that he’s excited about being an uncle. Jonathan said Ryan “deserves to be a father to his son.” Lily encouraged Kendall to open the presents. Jonathan got her a duck lamp and a stuffed duck — which prompted Kendall to flash back to signing the adoption papers. Lily got her baby sunglasses. Growing emotional, Kendall suddenly announced she was tired and they should leave. (And take those cupcakes with them!) Alone, Kendall tore down the decorations. She ran into Jackson outside, by the garbage. She assumed he was there on Erica’s behalf, and told him to worry more about Lily. “She’s joined at the hip to our local serial killer.” Later, in their treehouse, Lily and Jonathan toasted their triumphant shower and hoped it would lead to acceptance of them as a couple. Suddenly, Jackson called for them both to come down from there.

The string on their kite broke, but Tad had another gift for Di: a ring (with a giant rock). He slipped it on her finger and said, “Tell me you’ll marry me.” She shook her head: “I can’t.” Meanwhile, New Beginnings stayed on the air while Josh performed CPR and Erica assured the cameras that Greg just needed to catch his breath. Kendall clicked on the TV and bolted when she saw Josh trying to revive Greg and heard Ryan’s voice calling for an ambulance. Dixie had turned on the TV just before Greg collapsed, then watched in horror. “You bastard, you can’t die,” she murmured. “You have to tell me where my daughter is!”
