4:30 a.m. When I wake up depends on where I’m staying. If I’m at the Beverly Hills house, which is closer to CBS, I can get up later. Today, I’m at my Malibu house and it’s a longer drive, so I’m up by 4:30. I need at least an hour and 15 minutes to get ready before I leave.

4:40 a.m. The first thing I do is let out the dogs to go tinkle.

4:50 a.m. Feed the dogs.

5:00 a.m. I make my snacks for the day. Today, it’s an avocado with truffle salt along with some veggie chips. I’m also looking over my lines for the day. I have a split day; in the morning, I’ll be doing scenes with Christian [J. LeBlanc, Michael] and Peter [Bergman, Jack]. In the afternoon, I’ll be working with Gina [Tognoni, Phyllis].

5:20 a.m. I take a shower. I go in with a fresh face and wet hair.

5:40 a.m. I eat a gluten-free muffin for breakfast.

5:55 a.m. I leave for work, but I have to stop at the Beverly Hills house to drop off the dogs because my son, Austin, will walk them later while I’m at Y&R.

6:30 a.m. I arrive in Beverly Hills, walk the dogs one more time and make sure they have water.

6:40 a.m. I head to CBS, which is now less than 10 minutes away.

6:50 a.m. I arrive at CBS and park. When I walk through the doors at the artist entrance, I’m ready to go! My first stop used to be saying hi to [the late] Jeanne Cooper [ex-Katherine], but now I go directly to my dressing room and put everything down. I look over my wardrobe for the day, which is already hanging up in my room.

7:00 a.m. I grab all of my makeup and head to the hair and makeup room, but stop to get some hot water with lemon. I sit in the makeup chair and then we start the process!

7:15 a.m. My foundation, lashes and liner are put on and, next, I get in the hair chair. While my hair is getting styled, I’m going over my lines and putting the finishing touches on my makeup.

7:25 a.m. Now, I’m in high speed. I run back to my room and change into my wardrobe. I always have to eat before I go on, otherwise my brain doesn’t function as well, so I have a few veggie chips.

7:30 a.m. Time to start blocking with Christian and Peter, then we run our lines on stage.

8:00 a.m. Before my scenes, I read with an actor who is auditioning for a role.

8:35 a.m. It’s time to tape my scenes with Christian and Peter.

9:30 a.m. We’re done shooting and I have time to make some phone calls, return emails and eat my avocado.

11:00 a.m. Since I’ll be working later with Gina, I run to [natural foods store]Erewhon to pick up lunch for us. I’m now starving, so lunch has to be robust, and today it’s a big salad with buffalo-wing cauliflower. Gina just wants soup. What the hell? I bring back a buffet and she just wants a bowl of soup! I’m very judge-y about lunch.

11:30 a.m. Gina and I run lines in my room while eating lunch. We’re very close, so we’re also checking in with each other.

12:30 p.m. Time to go for blocking but my friend, Nick Ferroni, comes for a visit, so he goes with me to blocking. He’s sweet enough to bring me a hot tea because I’m so Brit.

1:00 p.m. Everybody breaks for lunch at 1:00, so we have to wait another hour or so before my next scene. Nick and I return to my dressing room to talk and catch up.

2:00 p.m. The lunch hour is over, and a little later Nick leaves.

2:30 p.m. One more trip to hair and makeup, then head to the set.

3:00 p.m. Gina and I shoot our scenes.

4:00 p.m. I’m done for the day, so I change back into my clothes. I don’t even bother taking off my makeup, I just throw on glasses and run. There was a joke years ago that you better be damn sure when you yell, “Clear! Moving on!” because five minutes later, I’m literally not there.

4:30 p.m. Arrive at the Beverly Hills house, walk the dogs and change my clothes. I’m having dinner at Wally’s [restaurant].

5:25 p.m. I start walking to Wally’s because it’s less than five minutes away on foot.

5:30 p.m. I meet my friend, Patty Stanger [THE MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER]. There’s not a lot for me to choose from the menu because of how I eat, so I just have a salad and truffle fries.

8:30 p.m. Yes, we took three hours, but we’re good tippers!

8:45 p.m. I talk with Austin, relax and watch FAUDA on Netflix and VICTORIA on Amazon.

10:30 p.m. I walk the dogs one last time. Tonight, we walk up to this business area up the street from me that has these fountains that are lit beautifully. They look magical, so we sit for a few minutes and watch.

11:00 p.m. I take off my makeup and start my skincare regimen. I get in bed and read on my iPad. A little while later, I’m out. I’m good on just six hours of sleep.
