Is Caroline ready to go head to head with Sally for Thomas’s affections?
“Caroline is such a mama bear, and she has to protect her child. She wants what’s best for her child and she’ll do whatever it takes to get what she thinks is necessary for her child. Before, when she wasn’t getting her way, she pouted about it. This is personal on a whole other level for her, and so the fight would come from somewhere very different than it did in other past confrontations.”
What does Caroline think of Sally?
“Caroline had her moments early on where she was kind of similar to Sally Spectra during the beginning of her rivalry with Maya over Rick, but ultimately she reeled herself in and grew up a bit. Caroline is typically classy but she’s not to be messed with in any way, for sure. Courtney Hope brings that same dynamic to Sally Spectra, and if we get the opportunity to really play that, I think even if they’re enemies, they would still respect each other because neither one would back down.”
Is Caroline grateful to have Steffy on her side?
“You know, that is one of my favorite relationships on the show. It’s not very often that you see women being friends on soaps — not alliances but real friends. Jacqui [MacInnes Wood, Steffy] and I love each other in real life because she is one of my best friends, but Steffy and Caroline love each other and are very protective of each other, too. It’s a real family dynamic. They may not be related by blood but there is a real and true kinship there, for sure.”
Any chance there will be a revisit of Caroline and Ridge’s romance?
“You never know. It would be my greatest pleasure to get to go down that road again. Working with Thorsten [Kaye, Ridge] is some of my favorite work that I’ve ever gotten to do as an actor. I think fans would enjoy seeing that. I can’t even use my Twitter because it’s all ‘CarRidge’ stuff [laughs]. But if that’s what they want, I say keep watching, keep hoping, keep vocalizing and we’ll see what happens.”
