GH’S LISA LOCICERO ON BABY NO. 2

Comments

Lisa LoCicero (Olivia, GH) is expanding her family, expecting her second child in May with hubby Michael Patrick Jann (son Lukas is 13).

"The last three months have been awful, but I am just starting to feel a little bit better," she says of making it through the first trimester. Battling morning sickness, "It was yucky going to work. The first day I knew I was pregnant, we were shooting scenes in Kelly’s in the morning, scenes where Sonny was feeding baby Rocco, and I just went in and kept putting my head down at the table at Kelly’s and Dom [Zamprogna, Dante, whose wife is pregnant for the third time] looked at me, put his head close to me and whispered in my ear, ‘Are you pregnant?’ I went, ‘What?!’ I couldn’t believe it; he knew! He goes, ‘Believe me, I know the look!’ It was funny. I was like, ‘Shhh, be quiet!’"

When she informed Executive Producer Frank Valentini, "He was so wonderful and gave me a great big hug and said, 'Congratulations!' " He suggested letting the news out via the cast's online video sharing what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving, "and I thought that would be cute. I was happy to let the news out, but I had to kind of take a deep breath," she explains. "Without being a downer, I do kind of want to say that at my age, you're never really out of the woods. That's kind of the unfortunate reality. To say it at all, until there’s a healthy baby in my arms, it’s a little bit nerve-wracking. But I got so much well-wishing on Twitter over the last couple of days that you just say, ‘My gosh, if something were to go wrong, I would have to bum out all those people, too, not just me!’ Not that I anticipate that, but I did feel like I had to take a deep breath and go, ‘Okay, here we go!’ But everyone's been wonderful to me, and I'm so appreciative."
