Eric Braeden was born April 3 in Bredenbek, Germany.
Braeden moved to America after high school and received a track and field scholarship at The University of Montana.
Braeden wanted to be an actor since he was 13 years old. After several years of local stage work and movie bit parts, Braeden got his first big break when he was signed as a regular on the television series THE RAT PATROL.
Braeden has won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for his portrayal of Victor Newman on YOUNG AND RESTLESS.
Braeden married his wife Dale in 1966 and they have one son, Christian, who is a writer and filmmaker.
