“I got this dressing room not too long after I started on Y&R. Christel Khalil [Lily] left [in 2005] for a little while, and the stage manager asked, ‘Do you want it?’ I’ve been here ever since. It’s a very cozy space and I wanted it to be comfortable, so anybody can come in and just relax. In fact, everybody comes to my room! The sectional is from HD Buttercup. This was in my house but it didn’t quite fit, so I brought it here. I love the bohemian style of the coverings I have on there to protect it. In fact, I call the overall style of this room ‘boho comfort’. I also love that it’s close to the stage.”

“I got the area rug at World Market in The Grove [shopping complex] behind CBS. They’ve got a great selection of rugs there and my kids helped me carry this over.”

“The temperature can get chilly in here sometimes, so I have this Y&R throw to snuggle in. It’s great for naps.”

“My brother-in-law gave me the throw pillows about 75 years ago [laughs]. I put them on my sectional so that anybody using my dressing room can enjoy this sort of psychedelic, hippie vibe that’s going on.

“This light fixture is made of Himalayan salt and it’s supposed to give off positive energy, but I just like the way it glows. If I take a nap, it’ll be the only light on in my room.”

“There’s a speaker like this one in every room, they have been here probably since the ’50s. Someone tells you over the p.a. what scene they’re on and also lets you know when you’re needed on set.”
