Y&R’s Tracey E. Bregman Sues Insurance Company
Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren, Y&R) has filed a lawsuit against her insurance company, the prestigious Lloyd’s of London, for woefully underpaying her claims after the loss of her house in a 2018 wildfire. The actress alleges that despite having adequate coverage, Lloyd’s is refusing to pay the full replacement amount needed to rebuild her home, which has resulted in her living in temporary housing over a year and a half later. According to Bregman, the several estimates she submitted from licensed contractors have been ignored by her insurance company in favor of their earlier assessment that comes in at millions of dollars less. Bregman’s lawsuit is also seeking an award of contractual, general and punitive damages.
